Alright so it seems that new messages are being added all the time. I'd rather wait until they're all there so I can do them all later. Approximately how many messages are left to translate?
Well by the quality of your english posts here on the forum I doubt you're capable of translating it and I feel really sorry for slovak community, even if it's a free translation, I don't think you should bother doing it, if your english is not on at least fluent level.ReVeNg3r wrote: 15k60
then why do you even post here?Dasiel wrote: 567131
I would personally could make a perfect translation but I hate slovak osu! community so I won't.
Slovak translation done by me,ibavnoci,PeteX.
If you see mistakes (i doubt you do) there tell us.
New backwards-compatibility renderer.Your's
Runs about 90% performance of DirectX in general and does not yet have all graphical features implemented.
Only recommended if you experience bad lag or fps (or don't have shader ).
Nový kompatibilný renderer.Využíva 90% DirectX, nie sú implementované všetky grafické funkcie.Doporučujeme iba pri nízkom fps alebo lagoch (alebo ak nepodporujete shader model)With your translation you're saying that OpenGL render is using 90% of DirectX renderer and the rest is something else, but the english sentence is saying that the OpenGL renderer has a performance of about 90% of DirectX.
Nový vykresľovač so spätnou podporou. Má zhruba 90% výkonnosť DirectX, ale nepodporuje všetky grafické možnosti. Odporučané len pri nízkych FPS a zásekoch, alebo chýbajucej podpore tieňovania.
If you dont like it, nobody forces you to use it.Translation is quite understandable for everyone from slovakia and even czech rep (except for you).Dasiel wrote: 567131

Updated some spanish translations.
I will add croatian for you now.Meikyuuiri Tsumi wrote: 5o663w
Hi, I started to do Croatian translations and have them saved on my PC so when I'm done I'm thinking of just copying and pasting them into the table. I have a question. Do I simply add a new column to the table and name it Croatian etc. and just make it look like the other columns, the only difference being croatian translation? I'm not very familiar with google drive. Or I have to do something else first to make Croatian translations "functionable"?
Any tips for easy copy&pasting from the spreadsheet to the txt?peppy wrote: 73101g
As a note to other translators, keep in mind you can test your translations by editing your language's txt file in the Localisation folder (in the odu! directory). You will need to restart osu! after making changes.
Huh dude, I'm just saying the quality of your "translation" is lacking in various ways and and in some cases it's even misleading like with the example I've showed you, sure it''s "understandable" but I think peppy is aiming for an accurate translation, not some made up bullshit like you've showed us so far. Not to mention the grammar errors you've made in OUR mother tongue in said "translation". The sad thing is that the "Slovak community" here consists of Me, you, Pete guy and ibavnoci. I won't use nor need Slovak translation, but if you're going to represent Slovak translation here you should rethink the way you're translating it or just drop it.ReVeNg3r wrote: 15k60

Ran a quick check (I was actually working on this myself however some words always came out wrong haha, so didn't translate that much), and fixed some minor spelling errors (missing letters, certain wrong context and uppercase letters).Meikyuuiri Tsumi wrote: 5o663w
Done with Croatian translation.
Thanks for fixing it. It was late at night but I guess there is no excuse.lolcubes wrote: 331p4a

Yes, please delete language-specific ones. All xx- prefixes should be removed eventually.
The !faq *language* should stay as is, since it tells people of new channels. I think the Scandinavian languages should stay too, since there are younger players who might not understand all the advanced English terminology - if we remove those, then why not remove the ingame localizations too?theowest wrote: 4f5b4v
#skandinavian has multiple language specific faqs. What do I do about that?
edit: Removed them. Everyone understands English in skandiland.
edit edit:
I guess we can just remove the Swedish, Norwegian and Danish columns completely from the spreadsheet.
We hardly ever have to use faqs in our channel. Most Scandinavians prefer their language in-game so it would be silly to remove that too. The reason we're removing these sw/no/da- faqs is because they shouldn't exist any more.MillhioreF wrote: 2k1855

It's up to you I suppose. Here are the questions you should ask to yourself:Winshley wrote: 6d5j56
Someone suggested to do a full description toward DoubleTime mod tooltip (and he did). I wonder if it's appropriate or not, because he prefer to have a meaningful description instead of "Zoooooooooom". From what I see, Thai, Simplified Chinese, Indonesian, and Greece language provides detailed description, mentioning clearly about the 50% increased playback speed. This also applies to Nightcore and HalfTime mods as well.![]()
1st screenshot: you should write on multiple lines by using Alt+Enter in Google Docs.theowest wrote: 4f5b4v
I've also noticed there are many translations that won't fit where they should be:
All text areas should be either somewhat larger or auto-sized to allow for longer translation / larger fonts / whateverXPJ38 wrote: 5t1mm
Also, see this thread to be informed about Update_Added and Update_Fixed being too narrow. So for the time being, until boxes are wider or autoresizable, you'll probably have to abbreviate or shorten your translations for these two lines.
