Fixed, sorry!
I'm not sure the best place to post this, so I'll put it here.

Some maps give different combo on newer releases compared to Stable (Fallback).

Examples:

https://osu-ppy-sh.tvgratuite.org/p/beatmap?b=462700&m=2

You can see that they have SS scores with differing combo, which shouldn't be possible.

I couldn't to osu!ce for a while - the game said that my has been reset for being too weak. I reset my and attempted to again, where the game still rejected my even though I could use it to to the website (the page said "You are already logged in, silly!")

Restarting osu! fixed it so I suppose it's not a major issue, but thought I would post anyways.
ATL TABing back to full screen osu takes over 10 sec to complete if not freezed. (about 50/50 for both scenario)
running on optimus with integrated graphics

performance log after freezing
http://pastebin.com/PfT9kRKk
I'm getting a freeze in the game every 2~5 minutes or so, it's been like this for a long time now.
The freeze only lasts for about half a second, but it makes me fail every map.
Just lost a top play because of this so I'm posting here to help.

Fullscreen, 1680x1050 (native).
i3-2100 3.1ghz
4gb ram.
Graphics card is a Nvidia 9500GT.
I'm using Windows 7

performance.log http://puu.sh/lzjAF/5aa8088a65.log

I think this happens on Stable too, but I'm not sure. I'll test it later.

Hope this helps
Found a bug by accident and found a good way to replicate it.
Press the down arrow, then right after press enter, then press the escape key and it should trigger.

I recorded a video to better show what happened

Edit: i'm dumb

This isn't specific to cuttingedge and is already confirmed here.
there's a new debug option to test: DisableMultipleVBOs

Please try it out and let us know if it helps with SwapBuffer stuttering
When I unplugged my audio output while playing a song the game crashed, just wanted to make it known.

I am having troubles replicating it since I am one person now, but when i try it with auto it lags then auto becomes a mess and can barely perform the song.

Unplugging audio devices during gameplay causing issues is known. Here are the threads.

The game shouldn't crash though. (And it's probably not specific to cuttingedge.)

You have your universal offset changed. Go into options and fix it.
woops can't believe I didn't check that... Sorry about that
Issue(s) in this thread have been addressed by the following changes:
  1. Add debug option to disable slider rendering. Please test whether it reduces stuttering. (peppy)
The changes will be applied to builds newer than b20151129cuttingedge.

Please follow up in this thread if you believe more work needs to be done to fix the mentioned issues. If they have not yet been resolved, please provide any new details that may have arisen after this build.
The disable slider rendering option is allowing me to play at 240 fps, whereas recently I've often gotten lag at 120. I'm not sure if that's what the option is meant to fix though.
I pushed a second update after that one which may fix your issue without disabling sliders. Can you please test it?
I restarted osu! and tried playing with the option disabled and afaict it's no better than normal. osu! didn't update in-between my previous post and now though, even with the restart.
can you chuck is a performance.log?
http://pastebin.com/ZeMWQyu1

I played the same map twice during this time. I played it once WITHOUT the option enabled, starting at xx:47:15 and ending at xx:49:12. I then played it WITH the option enabled starting at what I would expect to be xx:49:58 or xx:49:59 and ending at xx:51:55.

Edit: Errrr..just ed I started the map the second time for about a second, then tabbed out because my fps was at 40, then tabbed back in and restarted the map and my fps fixed itself. Don't know if that's relevant
@GhostFrog: Are you able to try what i mention here?
It doesn't seem to be making any difference.
You must be hitting a very different issue then.

What's your system specs (you can paste relevant information from the top of runtime.log)

I'm not really sure what that means or how to check for it so hopefully this answers it

This happens to me too on both external mouse and the laptop's track pad. Mouse clicks work though
same here, the ingame cursor won't move, but the click does work
Yep cursor won't move as long as raw input is enabled. Disabling allows me to move it.
this is a pretty first world problem but hey maybe it helps you.

In the cutting edge version my amd driver crashes when playing osu at uncapped frames (arround 1000fps).
The fallback version runs stable at arround 1200fps without any crashes.

I am using a r9 390x with the latest amd drivers without any overclock. I really dont care about this but
maybe it helps?
ran into this strange slider render bug while spectating, no idea what could have caused it http://puu.sh/lHpU7/b3079d04cf.png

edit: happened again, same slider. http://puu.sh/lHqlQ/1550aa8de7.png

Beatmap: https://osu-ppy-sh.tvgratuite.org/b/704360

No debug options are enabled, snaking sliders on, in case that info helps.

^^ also this, but it was fixed by simply restarting the game.

running b20151203.1
@rickput: For what it's worth, that bug is already fixed in a patch which will be merged soon :).
I'm having some spikes lags in the 20151203.3cuttingedge while playing.

When I try to place a slider in the editor, it's body become pretty short and doesn't change even if I do something like adding more anchors, though sliderball goes on that path where slider should be.

Got the same issue on my client as well.
I have a new problem with snaking sliders. Every time the sliders open, jerky extremely. Until yesterday, it was never like that. Please fix, thank you. :?

Same here. When i turn on compatibility mode, the sliders turn invisible, as if they are not being rendered.
Tested on a different computer and it had graphical issues that didnt happen on my main machine, switching the sliders with sqaures of other osu elements (skin/song select/etc).

I'll try to provide a picture of the slider graphical errors as soon as possible

We're aware of the issues with the sliders. Don't use cutting edge for the time being if you have problems with the sliders. Beta works just fine.
So I've been getting dropped frames (and resulting lag spikes) for a little while now (GTX 970) but reduce dropped frames fixed it. However, since playing with half fps isn't my cup of tea I tried messing around and it seems that if I play a song with reduce dropped frames and then take it off, I magically don't get dropped frames, my fps goes right back up but I get small stutters. (very playable, 0.55ms without option and 1.1ms with option)
I posted my performance.log a while back, but here's another one with the new build: http://puu.sh/lJyHh/e45195d67c.log

I have reduce dropped frames turned on, yet today many FCs were ruined by dropped frames. Still running my GTX970 and pretty decent PC with osu on SSD.
The latest build is giving me really poor frame time suddenly. I don't know exactly what was changed.

While playing a beatmap the frame time will change almost randomly from around 0.7 to 2.5 on the latest cutting-edge build. I switched to stable after trying to figure out the problem and my frame time is completely normal there, which is usually 0.8-1.2.

I've spent a lot of time in the past messing with settings and cutting down my skin to a minimal number of images to get the best frame time I could. I would like to know if anybody is having similar frame time problems or if there is some known issue killing frametimes. Cutting-edge is unplayable for me at the moment.
Post the performance.log file found in the osu!/logs directory.
I switched back to cutting-edge and played 3 maps for a bit. This is the performance.log for that.

http://puu.sh/lK0Jd/09f0839bcc.log
Submitting via BSS kind of "locks" the buttons ("Update Beatmap" and "Submit") for ~10 seconds before I can hit them. If I try to hit them before, it's like there's no button at all.
Sometimes spamming helps.
After reading peppy blog, I actualy thought something has been done about optimus s (As peppy is asking about perf issues by optimus s), so I tried switching osu! to dedicated GPU (Because with the intel one I must play in 720p resolution, when I could play in 1080p using DirectX on dedicated GPU before) and...
Actualy I feel like it's the exact same as 4 mounths ago when I was still playing, high input lag and very bad performance overall depsite usng 720p (Intel GPU give better perfs, this doesn't sound right)
I think "dedicated" full screen still doesn't work correctly.
I have F.lux on my PC too, but depsite osu! saying me that F.lux makes osu! performance bad, it doesn't seem to affect me when playing full screen with integrated GPU (And I can't desable it or my eyes are going to be broken after 5 minutes, too.)

EDIT : I tried disabling F.lux and perf was better, but it still has input lag, "dedicated"' fullscreen definitly doesn't work as you can see below (Something like this can't happen on dedicated fullscreen)

You can't get the taskbar over a game that is in true fullscreen.
I'm not sure if I'm just retarded or something, but I can't delete any sort inherited timing sections from the ''Inherited Points'' tab in the ''Timing and Control Points'' menu. It's not a big deal since I can remove these points from the other two tabs, but I figured it was worth pointing out.
Topic Starter
I fixed the issue. Just need to wait for it to get in.
I can't turn up/turn down volume in-game, but i can in the main menu, someone can help me please?
I reinstall the game btw but still can't

The editor hates me.

Slider bodies seem to somehow get disposed in the editor. I'm not sure how to reproduce this, but this happed a whole bunch of times to me in a single mapping session after mapping for a little while (~30 minutes). Sometimes one invisible slider would somehow get drawn again but then another one was gone. Not sure what's up, but here's some screenshots.

They're currently aware of the slider issues, and recommend you use the beta instead if you're having problems ;)
Small bug:

When making a new inherited point for changing volume by adding one, typing a number in the "audio" tab and pressing enter right after to "save" it, it uses the volume that it initially had when adding the inherited point instead of the one you typed in.

You have to add a new one, it doesn't work if you edit one or if you change it first by clicking on another timing point. You can see a short frame that it changes the volume of that point when pressing enter, but it doesn't save it.

I can only reproduce this in CE

EDIT:
Another bug just found in the editor, not sure if I should make a separate post for this.

New undo system is great, but I cannot undo moving objects by pixels (not grids). It just undoes whatever I did before.
For example, when making a triple by placing 3 circles, then moving the circles by a few pixels, and I use undo, it will remove the circles in the order I placed them without moving them back in position where I placed them initially.

em if this is the place to report bugs then there is one in editor when i try to update a beatmap it does like 3 steps to the global networkt then an error message pops up :/ (tried on latest, fallback and cutting edge nothing works :/)

That sounds like it's about a different issue that is also to do with invisible sliders to me. Well, anyway, thanks.
Topic Starter
That was a different issue that is already resolved. I'm not sure what is causing this. I haven't replicated it yet.
Can confirm. After around 25 minutes of mapping, it started to happen like crazy, and once I exited the editor and reopened it, it was done. Does it have something to do with the undo log changes (since it could possibly be based off of how long you're in the editor)?
Topic Starter
I think I have an idea of what is causing this.
Sliders have a little malfunction, specially with hidden. In the video, you can see that the whole slider appears for one frame, then jumps back to normal. Slow down the video if you want, but I did a frame by frame playback.

Not sure if this was ever reported, but this issue has been occurring on and off randomly ever since the move to the new OpenGL renderer.

Basically, the 300s sometimes (randomly) don't appear. Happens on normal circles, sliders, spinners. Not sure if this happens with 100s or 50s. (EDIT: yes, this does happen with 100s and 50s.) It was difficult to capture this because it's random (and pretty rare), but I managed to finally: https://lambda.sx/VyL.mp4 here you can see it happening on two sliders and a circle.

With the new Christmas update, my game crashes when I'm doing spinners. A redditor also had this problem.

EDIT: The game randomly freezes and then crashes, but more likely on spinners. I'd say once every 50 plays. This never occurred before the christmas update.
Because of this ctrl+o addition you can't write Polish letter "ó" in osu! chat (at least I think it's because of that). Is there any way to change the binding for options?

@DOWN

It works perfectly fine everywhere outside of osu!

Also all the other Polish letters are working fine.

@EDIT

It works fine on stable where there is no ctrl+o

I'm having no trouble at all writing an "ó" in chat. Maybe a problem with your keyboard settings?

It doesn't work for me too on cutting-edge, have to copy "ó" written somewhere else and paste it in-game to use it properly and write what I want/how I want.

Ah I assume you type "ó" as Alt + O? I am using the Dutch keyboard layout in which you also get "ó" by pressing ' + O, which is still working btw. Indeed the Alt + O combination doesn't work anymore :S

This is probably the most broken thing I've ever experienced:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6sdgUrx7jps

After a couple restarts I caught the game at it's craziest. The only inputs I make are when it stops on "Are you sure you want to exit osu!?", and when the song starts I am the one quiting out of it.

This has been a problem for about 3 or so days. When I start the game it is spamming a random key. The ones I know it's been spamming is ESC, Enter, F8 and F9 because those I can actually see happening in the menus.

Stable works fine, I've tried going back and forth between them and reboot. Haven't bothered trying to reinstall.
I'm not sure if I'm just being really stupid right now or something, but I manually disabled my graphics card, and osu seems to run much more smoothly on integrated graphics. The input lag is much lower and I haven't been getting dropped frames. What??

If you are using a laptop with NVidia Optimus then that's normal. There is an issue for PCs with that technology, and it's better to run osu! with the integrated GPU until it's fixed.

is this just me or i'm seeing a glitch in the multiplayer mode
The raw input/opentk introduction pushed to CE seems to have REALLY weird side effects when using a DS4 controller. Connecting the device with raw input enabled causes some constant triggers that either try to close the game many times a second or continues through whatever the mouse is hovering over at the time (basically spamming shit on the menu or trying to start songs). Pressing any button, but analog triggers in particular causes my entire PC to freeze, this doesn't stop until the controller is disconnected.

It is probably worth mentioning that I'm not trying to use the controller with osu!, rather, this happens when the game is open, or when opening it, with the controller connected.
The raw input update has also started to cause me issues. If I connect a keyboard, mouse, or tablet while osu! is running, the game stops ing any/all cursor movement, forcing me to alt-tab and/or restart the game.

I'm also unable to map any of my DirectInput controllers. Xbox 360 controllers work just fine though.

I'm reporting that ever since peppy made changes to background saving, I've black screen softlocked coming out of the results screen several times now. although each time it has happened someone was spectating me, and people don't usually spectate me. That could be related to it somehow. People have reported this issue in the past.
Have you confirmed that's actually the issue? It's one of many things that has changed which could cause it.

ie. attach a debugger and provide proof else don't assume
Topic Starter
Well I was planning to do some investigating. In the meantime I was reflecting on the situation that before that update, this issue never happened to me. Sparse reports were made every now and then. I haven't ruled out all possibilities.
Also, if you're not playing full screen and you select another window (for example a Skype conversation) and then hover over the still visible osu window, you won't see the cursor anymore. A minor bug perhaps, but it's annoying me.
Since the latest Cutting-Edge build, if I start osu! without my tablet plugged in, then plug my tablet in after that, my cursor becomes frozen (i.e. immovable by both tablet and mouse).
Never had this problem before, but anytime I launch / tab into osu! it just spam clicks my mouse :X

That looks like a joystick problem. Try unplugging all controllers before launching osu. If that does solve it, let me know what kind of controller(s) was causing it.

That was it, I should've guessed it was controller.

I had a PS4 controller plugged into my computer with this driver http://ds4windows.com/ that makes it emulate xbox 360.

It spam clicks with ds4windows open, but without it open it just constantly asks if I want to exit from main menu (without the click sound effect).

Unplugging the controller solves the issue for me, but I've had the controller plugged in for earlier versions and it wasn't causing problems until now.

Hope that helps, and thanks!

I tested and I had a USB keyboard through USB hub, PS/2 keyboard through USB adapter and hub and a builtin laptop keyboard all connected, and I can move the 2 USB mice (one through hub, one direct) connected to my laptop. Something hardware or driver related might be going on your side. Can you move the mouse outside of osu!?

I was able to move the mouse outside of osu! as you can see in the video.
After restarting osu! the mouse works fine again.
But everytime I plug in my keyboard the same problem happens again.
If I plug in another device everything works still fine.
