  1. First of all, I'd raise the SV a tiny bit. If you use 0.7 SV instead of 0.6 SV but stick to current spacing, you can avoid overlaps like 00:04:028 (4,5) - and make make your map a lot cleaner that way
    Doing this will make some sliders 1/2 shorter... and honestly, Im too lazy to fix all of the sliders just for this.
  2. 00:04:028 (4,1) - I'd suggest to make (4) blanket the sliderhead of (1) here. That means: Shape (4) in a perfect curve around the sliderhead of (1), like that: I see, so thats what a blanket is. But I like the way it looks currently, hope you dont mind that I keep them this way, so for the rest of this that I dont comment anything will be because of this.

  3. 00:10:854 (1) - How about making this a straight slider going upwards? You cloud blanket the next slider afterwards around it

  5. 00:23:555 (1,2,3) - You could shape circle-circle-sliderhead into a triangle to get it more structured
  6. 00:30:699 (3,1) - I kinda dislike this flowwise, how about you change (1) like that:

  8. 00:40:859 (1) - I'd place a circle here instead and start a slider where it's current end is. Like that, you can cover the phrase of the lyrics with the slider
  9. Why do you only have sliders in the kiai? You could replace them with circles every now and then, but it looks fine aside from that
    Well, wasnt my intention to use only sliders, just wanted to give it a very characteristic feel different from the rest of the map, and it just turned out this way
  10. 01:50:553 (2) - bend this the other way for better flow?
  11. 02:17:065 (1) - I expect a few beginners to break here because "AAH WHAT IS THAT WHY IS I DON'T EVEN *PANICCLICKSLIDERBREAK* (because it's only a 1/2 slider, by the way, this is difficult to read especially when you mainly have such long sliders in your diff before)
  12. 03:28:664 - Consider removing the slider in a way that you can place a circle here where the kiai starts. A circle always has more of an impact than a slider so it would make sense to use them for kiai transitions
    Made something a bit different,at least its not starting in the middle of the slider

  1. 00:40:542 (4) - I'd replace the sldier with 2 circles I have my own reason for this slider,to be more precise its a copy paste of the previous pattern (00:38:795 (1,2) - ) so that the two of these actually make a whole pattern
  2. 02:06:746 (5) - I'd say this is pretty unexpected. One reverse arrow is okay, but multiple reverse's cannot be seen during the slider's approach phase and can cause sliderbreaks
  3. 03:39:935 (5,6,1) - sliderend-circle-sliderhead triangle?
  4. 03:58:510 (6) - same thing as before This one wasnt necessary because I had changed the pattern a bit too much to fix the 3 reverse arrow sliders
  5. finding stuff in this diff is hard without screwing your entire mapping concept

  5. 02:40:402 - I really hate the overmapped triplets in the part starting here. You can hear they're overmapped and don't feel well while playing. I know it's the guitar solo but meh, this feels unnecessary to me

  6. 02:55:484 - As for the stream IIRC I already told you before that this is pretty overdone IMO. This map is entirely jump based and doesn't require any streaming skills, so suddenly putting a 50-note stream is kinda bad. I'd strongly suggest you to use 1/4 sliders at this point (for example after the first two measures of circlestream), if you want, you could even place slider jumps, following the theme of your map with crazy patterns and stuff
    At least that's my opinion, others who can SS this stream most likely are going to tell you it's fine, but I who cannot stream and who will never be able to do so because of physical limitations always have to view streams in a critical way, I hope you understand that.
    I understand it, I also struggle with the streams, also, in case you havent noticed, these streams have its spacing much more reduced and most 500+ ranked players can SS it easily (while in the past, I have only seen it FCed like twice) and I did that precisely on your comment
Tsk. I can't mod anymore recently. Either that of the maps I mod are too good.

check out the AIMod, and look for a taiko BAT to confirm that your taiko diffs are rankable.

osu standard difficulties look fine for me.

btw, good job on this map.

If you mean the audio lead in stuff and the letterbox stuff, Ill have to say that its a bug, and not sure why it happens. If you use AImod for the first time: this appears:



But if you use AImod on all your diffs, and then go back to the same diff again, this will happen:



Also, just to truely proof that they are the same (just some diffs):



And yes, Ive been waiting for a taiko bat for over 1 month :(

00:26:412 (128,129,130,131,132,133,134,135,136,137) - Just a suggestion for an alternate pattern here, try ddkd dkkddkd. It doesn't change too much and fits the vocals a bit better.

00:29:587 (145) - Remove this finisher.

00:37:843 (185) - Try moving this to 00:38:002, again to fit the vocals a bit better.

00:39:748 (193) - Move this to 00:39:589. Same reason as above.

00:47:368 (234) - This note doesn't really fit that well, suggest removing it.

00:48:638 (241,242,243,244) - delete 241, make 242/243 dk, and move 244 to 00:49:273.

01:08:959 (345) - Add a finisher here.

01:09:276 (346,347,348,349,350,351,352,353) - kdddkd d

01:47:060 (544) - Delete this note. The 1/2 streaming is a little excessive here.

03:07:073 (102) - Remove this, this section sounds a little awkward with it there.

03:10:883 (134) - Remove this, same reason as above.

03:27:235 (247,1) - Delete 247 and make 1 start where 247 was. It makes more sense for the spinner to start on the held guitar note than 1/2 a tick after.

03:48:984 (16) - Make this a finisher to add a little emphasis to the vocals.

This next one is a bit of a big change but bear with me on it. Delete 03:57:716 (81,82,83,84,85,86,87) - and copy/paste 03:56:763 (74,75,76,77,78,79,80) - where the old section used to be. It gives you that nice "k d d k d d k d d k d d" structure that goes along with this section of the music really well.

03:59:145 (92) - Make this a finisher to emphasize the end of this section / start of a new section.

04:15:496 (59) - Missed a finisher here.

04:19:306 (85,1) - Same as the last spinner, delete 85 and move 1 to start where 85 was.

So this map has gone to grave again... Well, I guess that I have a few words to say this time...

First of all, trust me that I did everything I could and yet still not going really going too far away from my own beliefs. Why I say this? Lets take a look at the current taiko BATs:

aabc271: everytime I ask her he/she is busy

HeatKai: I have asked him like 3 times, and no mod yet... and last time we talked he promised to mod my map....

KanaRin: at first he/she has a weird question queue on which Ill never be able to answer it properly, since they seem to be too japanese culture oriented, then he/she changed to a pm system explaining him/her why the map should be modded, on which I did, and I think twice... not sure.

kanpakyin: fromm what I read from his/her page, hi/she seem to have quit?

Loctav: he's always busy, specially with taiko tournament, I dont really want to bother him too much.

mancuso_JM_: he's part of my map set

MMzz: I it this one I havent asked, but... I guess that it is becausewe have never been online at the same time....

OnosakiHito: it's on his queue for over 2months...

spboxer3: well... his/her page says it all

Sync: same as MMzz

Tasha: I have tried to pm him/her several times to remind him/her to recheck my map... but so far... I have been unsuccessful, be it because he/shes too busy or other thing, anyways, it doesnt really matter in the end, and Im grateful that s/he have been able to check this map at least once

Anyways, as I say, most of the things I did it as far as my own ethics allowed me to, I'm not going to completely change my being just for this map, and I guess thats partly the fault of which I rank my own maps so slow.

I guess that for now its a farewell to this map until a taiko BAT finally decides to mod this map, and even though this map is graved, trust me when I tell you that you can mod it anytime you want, and as soon as you post, Ill revive this, this also applies for any kind of mod that this map receives.

Oh well, Ill just leave the rest to the taiko BATs and the other s that might be more interested in seeing this map ranked, cause as for me, I hae already lost interest after I have been trying to find a taiko BAT for at least 2 months, literally.

Tasha modded this map since I had no time to mod it yet. So it's already cool that he take the time for it.
Also don't forget that everyone of us has much to mod, it's an amount you shouldn't underrestimate.
Your map is on my -page and I wrote you a PM, so I will look through it when I have time.

Also you didn't have to wait only for us. Osu BATs are able to osu-icon this set...

Didnt knew the existence of osu icon, in any case, ignorethis was ready to bubbe this map, but was pending a taiko icon. Just check some posts earlier.

Also please, theres no need to give excuses, i understand perfectly that you all are busy and all that stuff. Im not blaming anyone and much less the BATs, i understand that you guys dont really have to do this, since this is not a job and blah blah blah etc, i guess thats one of the reason that i dont like to pressure you guys too much, but i also have my own limits, and this is it, i dont want to keep pressuring anyone anymore. I guess this more of a notice of my laziness to keep trying.

And as I said in my earlier post, feel free to mod this map anytime, and if changes are needed ill revive it asap, so theres no need to make a drama out of this, if someone going to mod this, then good, if no one mod it, its also cool to me.

Anyways, thanks for your concern, and sorry if i made it sound like a rant that bats are useless, its not, its more like im trying to get excuses that i tried to get this ranked, and that i can get lazy now.

quite unique patterns, though the rhythm is a bit short on consistency the epic jumps make up for it. Definitely had a lot of fun trying to this

Well i would gladly push this forward for the cool higher diffs, but i advise you get some more input on the lower diffs, especially Easy which utilizes a lot of rhythms that can be too complicated for that level of game play. Get weaker players to test play, some more mods etc. and call me back when you think everything is good.

Yes, and it used to be worse, much worse, and has been modified lots of times to the point that Im finally comfortable with the amount of /fails Ive seen with the test plays, in fact, this very part is the part that I changed the most in the map over the course of the testplays.

02:26:273 (2) - try stacking this on 02:26:749 (4), gives 02:26:431 (3) a more epic entrance

And about the spinners... I have a very special way to use them, I mean, I can't use them anyway as I want, but at least I can allow myself to do it the same as in the easy diff, hope thats good enough for you


Well i would gladly push this forward for the cool higher diffs, but i advise you get some more input on the lower diffs, especially Easy which utilizes a lot of rhythms that can be too complicated for that level of game play. Get weaker players to test play, some more mods etc. and call me back when you think everything is good.
Thanks, also, I it that as for the easy diff I havent got lots of test players, maybe only 2, but thats only because I'm perfectly fine with players ranked around 150k to be able to play my maps fine (on which they are already able to, thats why I didnt ask for so much test plays in that diff), I wanted to compensate this by asking the modders to pay special attention to the easy diff, more specifically with the rhythm, but as you may see, most of the suggestions done on easy have been mostly spatial related, or the rhythm they suggested werent good enough for me (but yours was very nice, and I thank you for that)

Anyways, Ill try to get some test plays from some people ranked over 250k~ then

Oh and to answer to Pomuta's post: Xanandra does not belong to finisterra's album, it belongs to Hechizos, Pocimas y Brujerias, but I dont think its necessary to add that to the tags either.

Also, after watching these replays, I have to say that I love jonathan, now Im quite happy with my easy diff, that weird rhythm that was on that diff is gone now, and its all thanks to you :>

EDIT2: Test plays done, had 10 people ranked over 250k for this.
Its kinda hard to know what patterns are badly designed or its just because the players are still learning how to play, as in, most of them left the slider too early, or stuff like. As far as rhythm go, it seems to be okay except for 01:17:532 (2,3) - , on which it has been redesigned again, and it seems to be okay according to 3 replays. Also a general opinion seems to be that the map its too slow... lol.

I still don't really approve of the style of mapping used here, but I'm not one to impose on a map exclusively for style reasons. For the style used, it is mapped adequately enough to be ranked.

That said, bubbling! Good luck with ranking!

I have made lots of testplays to make sure its played as intended, and lots of patterns have been remade and so on until Im finally happy with the end result.

I have asked several people to recheck the timing, and yes, I think there was one that suggested a new timing section for a metronome reset at some point, but all the rest didnt agree with it.

Well, its kinda not fair to say it like that, seeing as my intention was to disturb playing experience because Im a very very mean person, and only agreed to do so cause you were very insisting about that and I preferred to hurt my own feelings rather than your feelings, I mean, what could be more mean than being mean to one's self?

Anyways, after the unrank what I changed was

04:15:179 (6,1,2) - moved a few grids off
04:18:354 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1) - changed the order of the notes so its much easier.

All the rest should be exactly the same.

Also, sure, a BAT might be lined up, but all the bats, as you may know, have their own life and are busy as well ;)

So apparently after this unrank, it will require totally new BATs to rebbuble it, and then give the rank. I dont know when was this changed, but in the past, the BAT that unranked it had the duty to rebubble it at least, what a way to trying to speed up the re ranks, congratulations BAT team.

On another side note, this map was really unranked just to satisfy the quirks of a fellow member of the BATs, all the while the map was perfectly just fine and rankable, and since the implementation of the qualified status was to make quick fixes of this kind, I really don't see what's the point of having to find 2 BATs again, and as far as I know, no BATs will voluntarily offer to check this map, be it because they are busy and have their own life, or if they are not busy and having their own life, these kind of map just don't appeal to them.

And yes, this map has been very painful for me, in fact, pretty much all maps I map is very painful for me to rank it because apparently no one likes the song choices that I map, and on top of that I map over 3-4 mins with a full spread of 4 diff.

So right now Im not even going to try to find more BATs, besides of the one that was already lined up (even if she re accepts it or not), just to see how this qualified map's status really works.

Honestly, seeing a post like that makes me not want to look far more than song choice, map length, etc. Putting down the people that are trying to help you is a pretty poor path to follow.

Honestly, there were some parts that were really hard to read and frustrating to play although they may look cool and fitting in editor to you.
BATs just insisted you to change for letting people enjoy it rather than get frustrated over the map. Especially, SapphireGhost is one of the best players among the BATs and he/she even said so about some hard patterns. So that should kind of reflect something.
To end this, I will be checking this one this evening to get this re-ranked asap. I had enjoyed it before it was unranked.

Also it's quite silly that the unranker can't re-rank. And yeah, ironic post like that is kind of disheartening to some BATs who work hard either.

Putting down? Where exactly am I putting people down? Im more about showing my own discontent as to why some BAT decisions seems to make a map harder to get ranked rater than really helping the mapped. As far as I know, that's my only complaint to you people from BAT.

And the comment about song choice, map length, etc has no direct relation to you, but more to the community in general, and I believe that this is the very first time I said it publicly on my 4~5 years of mapping.

Frustrating? Hard to read? then great! My map has fulfilled its purpose seeing as this song is all about frustration and becoming crazy (and thus, kinda "hard to read' I guess since you dont have a clear head). On another note, since the unrank, some people have already asked me why I changed the last part? It was all perfect for them already, and all I could answer was that the change might make them sad, but Im making others happier, so in the end, no matter what I do Ill make some people sad I guess.

And yes, Its very silly that the unranker cant even rebubble it, and thats the main reason on which this whole thing its making me sad, It's like the whole story of Xanandra applied to me, and I really appreciate you a lot if you do so, and looking forward to it.

I think you should never worry about song choice or so, as osu is just so world-wide that I believe there're still many players like me who enjoyed this song even it's something like non-mainstream or so

I should be willing to check this but this map is just so crazy like you said that I can't handle it properly, so sorry for not able to be helpful
but still, good luck on the rerank
