As promised, I come to mod this.
[
General]
- About source, I personally think
Pure Girl was fine, keep in mind ピュアガール = Pure Girl. Good explanation of English loanword in Japanese can be found here
http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2051.html. So I think they write -puregirl- to make it oblivious that the title is from English. If you want to be 100% accurate with the title, then it should really be Pure Girl -puregirl-, but weird to write pure girl two times right? Alternative, you can write the romaji of the kanji which is Pyuagaaru, but looks really weird. So after considering all this, I find
Pure Girl to be the best choice for source and it looks the nicest styling wise too. If you really prefer -Puregirl- then uncapitalize the p so it should be
-puregirl- instead since it's not capitalized in the logo that No_Gu gave. After this, you should add
pure &
girl to tags since I couldn't find this song when I search with this words. I was wondeirng why I couldn't find this beatmap. Same thing if you decide to change the source to Pure Girl, add
puregirl to tags.
- Tags, you should definitely consider adding
Elements Garden to tags as this group compose so many songs including popular anime songs. Composer should also be considered so
Fujita Junpei, since this person have written lot of songs, a list can be found on vgmdb
http://vgmdb.net/artist/110. Lastly, sometime, the company frontwing is spaced out so,
front wing, I will not find this song if I search front or wing so consider this. English sources like wikipedia does this
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Front_Wing.
[
Easy]
00:00:681 (1,2) - Consider this hitsound pattern instead. Finish/whistle at begin of (1), whistle on begin of (2), whistle on both sliders repeat and remove the whistles from the end of both slider. The reason is simple, the end of the sliders don't follow the piano properly so whistle sound weird on it, but the begin & repeat follow piano perfectly so it sound great to have whistle on them.
00:09:911 (2,3,1,2,3) - The weird notes here are 00:12:848 (2,3). Try this
http://puu.sh/1bkXX. Everything is still 1/1 space out from each other but follow the song much better. Be sure to put finish on begin of 00:10:750 (1) -
00:14:107 (1) - Finish at begin for a new section?
00:17:464 (1) - I won't put finish at repeat and end since it make it really oblivious that this doesn't follow the cymbal in background. They are playing 1/2 earlier on the red tick so I recommend removing them.
00:32:569 (4) - Whistle fits at begin and repeat here or finish instead, maybe finish is a better idea then whistle.
00:34:247 (1,2) - Similar to above, whistle/finish at end of these sliders.
00:39:701 (1,2,3) - I don't recommend doing hit circles like this for this song as the song has lot of rhythms on red. Basically, patterns like this relies on reading the approach circle and not listening to the song. I wouldn't mind this if there was no sound on the red ticks, but they are and quite emphasized too. My best suggestion is to do a repeating slider instead.
00:40:750 - Such a short break, consider just removing it.
00:43:058 (2) - Should add a clap on the repeat consider all the others clap follow the drum here.
00:44:317 (1) - Should consider clap here as it's the same sound as on 00:44:736 & 00:44:946 which you put clap on.
00:46:415 (2) - Same as 00:43:058.
00:47:674 (1,2) - Consider finish on (1) and end of (2) with perhaps reduced volume. Consider clap on the repeat of (2) because you put one at end of 00:44:736 (2).
00:52:708 (1,2) - I prefer this rhythm instead
http://puu.sh/1bldV (replace with long slider) since the end of (1) doesn't really follow the song. Yes I can hear a sound, but it's a very quiet sound and I think Easy shouldn't follow such sound.
01:00:261 - Song is quite slow, I don't think this need 2 white tick pause after spinner. Consider adding a note here. Since the song is slow, the 2 white ticks feel too long, so it felt empty. Adding hit circle there seem to work fine for me.
01:00:261 (1,2,3) - Should consider adding whistle on 1st & 3rd white tick.
01:04:457 (3) - Whistle on begin & end sound quite nice
01:06:555 (1,2) - Finish at end of (1), replace clap at begin of (2) with finish.
01:07:184 (2) - Also, I don't agree with this, I think you need something on 01:07:813 since a strong sound is on there. Best solution is do slider starting here and ending it there. Another reason to do this is because you have hit circles afterward. Not too nice to play 3/2 rhythm unless the sound in the music is extremely prominent to warrant one, in this case, it doesn't. Be sure to add a finish on 01:07:813.
01:08:653 (2) - Feel better to me with whistle, but I don't have any real reason for you to add it.
01:12:009 (2) - Finish here?
01:12:848 (1,2,3,4) - Same as 01:00:261.
01:17:883 (3) - Whistle at end
01:25:855 (1,2) - Consider finish on repeat of (1) and on (2).
01:33:408 (2) - Whistle pattern sound better to me if you add whistle at end.
Not bad, this song seem hard to map an Easy for, but you did quite nicely. Mainly suggestion on how to make hitsound better.
[
Normal]
00:00:681 (1) - Consider finish at begin instead of whistle
00:04:037 - 00:07:184 - I cannot hear the hitsound here, seem like you want to do a cresendo effect, but I think you lower the hitsound volume way too much. Consider these two timing points volume suggestions. 40% > 50% > 60% or 50% > 55% > 60%.
00:13:478 (5) - Raise the volume (50% maybe?) and add whistle to begin and the slider body. Sound better than not having anything to me.
00:23:338 (1) - I prefer low volume finish instead, but your choice.
00:24:177 (2) - Finish at end.
00:25:855 (2) - ^
00:32:569 (3) - ^
00:35:925 (4) - Same as 00:23:538.
00:39:282 (4) - Whistle at end?
00:40:121 (5) - Consider clap here too.
00:42:639 (1) - Personally think this should be a finish at begin instead.
00:47:674 (3,4) - Consider finish instead of clap at begin of (3) & on (4).
00:51:030 (4) - Same as 00:23:538.
00:53:128 - I think this finish should be higher volume than 00:54:387.
00:56:485 (3) - Clap at end, listen to drums in the background
00:57:743 (5) - Whistle on repeat & end. Whistle sound nice with piano.
01:01:939 (6) - Whistle on begin and end.
01:04:457 (4) - ^
01:06:764 (2) - Finish at end.
01:08:443 (5) - Finish at begin
01:12:009 (6) - ^
01:13:687 (2,3) - Quite empty without whistle here, add whistle to begin of these two sliders.
01:17:044 (2,4) - Whistle on (2) & begin + end of (4). Also sound nice if you add to 01:18:932 (5).
01:20:401 (1) - I prefer finish instead of clap at begin.
01:22:079 (4) - No hitsound on this? Definitely do clap at repeat (be sure to use s:c2) then finish at begin if you do for above. Don't add anything to end.
01:29:212 (3,5) - Whistle at end of (3), begin of (5)?
Actually, 00:07:813 (2,4,5) - Do whistle at end of (2) & (5) add to (4) then do above suggestion and add to 01:28:792 (2) as well.
01:33:827 (3) - Finish at begin or at the very least whistle.
Overall, it's a good diff, but I'm curious about your finish logic. Need some whistle through, I gave suggestion on the places that need it.
[
Hard]
00:09:072 (1) - Whistle begin & end.
00:21:660 (2) - Add clap here atleast, hitsound sound really empty here since you didn't have anything on 00:21:240.
00:25:436 (3) - Prefer clap over whistle.
00:29:527 (2) - Whistle pattern sound nicer to me if you add a whistle here.
00:41:170 - Short break, consider just removing it.
00:52:708 (1) - Whistle at end, similar issue to 00:21:660. Consider adding on (2) as well.
00:54:387 (5) - Finish at begin
01:07:813 (1,3) - Consider finish at begin of these two sliders
01:09:492 (1,5) - Whistle on (1), begin of (5).
01:12:009 (2) - I hear the drum, consider adding clap.
01:19:562 (1) - Finish at begin
01:12:848 - 01:19:352 - What happen to the whistle? Your whistle hitsounding is quite good, so don't see why you didn't try to put some here. Here's a quick suggestion. 01:13:687 (3) - Whistle on begin 01:14:527 (1) - Whistle here 01:14:946 (3,5) - Whistle at these two sliders end 01:17:044 (1) - Whistle here 01:17:883 (1,2,3) - Whistle on these three hit circles. Sound better than nothing I think. I don't really like how the whistle sound on 01:14:527 (1) much, but maybe you'll like it, if not just remove it. Same thing for 00:59:422 - 01:05:086.
Pretty good, but unsure why not much whistle at certain part in kiai. Also, I personally think patterns like this 00:23:338 (1,2,3) fits better as jump patterns in an Insane diff rather than anti jumps in Hard. Not impossible to get 300s on, but doesn't feel comfortable to me.
[
Sekai's Insane]
00:01:729 (4,5,2) - I don't mind the current whistle pattern too much, but I feel you should have whistle on the piano so 00:01:729 (4,5,2) - on (4) & (2), end of (5). Almost forgot, also on begin of 00:03:408 (4)
00:04:667 (5,6,8) - And here, on (5) & (8), end of (6), should remove from (7).
You may want to remove all whistles that doesn't follow piano, I think it sound better that way, but your choice
00:08:233 (2,5,8) - Whistle on (2,5), end of (8).
00:11:380 (2) - Add finish
00:12:219 (7,2,3) - Finish end of (7), on (2), begin of (3)
00:12:639 (1) - Should be on 00:12:848, be sure to add finish to it
00:17:464 (1,3) - I'm sure you can make a better blanket then this
00:18:093 (2,4) - Finish at these two hit circles.
00:19:352 (7) - Clap at begin
00:19:771 (8) - Finish at begin
00:20:191 (9) - Add clap
00:20:820 (1) - I think reducing the volume of this finish a bit would be better
00:21:240 (3) - Finish at end
00:22:499 (1) - Clap at begin
00:23:967 (4) - Add finish
00:26:275 (2,3,4) - Clap at end of all sliders. Alternatively, finish at end of (2,3) then clap at end of (4).
00:29:212 (3) - Add clap
00:30:051 (7) - ^
00:33:198 (2) - Add finish
00:36:345 (2) - Clap at end
00:44:317 (1,5) - Add clap
00:45:366 (6) - Finish
00:47:044 (3) - ^
00:51:869 (4) - ^
00:56:065 (5) - Finish at begin
01:06:764 (3,5) - Finish
01:07:813 (1) - Finish at begin
01:09:492 (1) - ^
01:17:883 (1,3) - Finish at begin of (1), whistle on (3)
01:22:079 (3) - Finish
01:31:939 (2) - ^
01:33:198 (2,3) - Move 1/4 right and add finish
01:34:457 (7) - Finish
Just add whistle on 1st & 3rd white tick in kiai, not all place of course and not if there is finish so 00:59:422 - 01:04:457 - and 01:12:848 - 01:17:044 -
Focused on mainly hitsound, but didn't notice a problem wit placement.
[
Insane]
I won't mention hitsound anymore as I mention enough, just check other diffs suggestion. I feel Hard has the best hitsound right now so you can follow the hitsound pattern of that diff if you wish.
00:08:443 (4,5,6) - Unstack? To keep the flow going and emphasizing 00:08:862 (7) better. Also feel less clustered.
00:08:862 (7) - New combo
00:09:911 (11) - Prefer if you snap this to 1.5x as well.
00:12:219 (7) - Stack with (5)? I find you map this in quite a clean way and this make the diff feel a bit messy.
00:13:058 (3) - Easier to read the stream after this note for me if you place at x:64 y:240.
00:16:625 (4) - Jump on this note, maybe place where 00:18:093 (1) is, jump is justified by vocal.
00:18:513 (2,3,4) - I don't see why the spacing is different from 00:19:352 (1,2,3)? Pattern feel better to me with 1.1x with (4) stacked on 00:17:254 (7) -
00:21:660 (2) - Feel like this need a jump, place at x:472 y:168 maybe?
00:23:653 (2,3) - Hmm, stack (2) on begin of 00:22:499 (7) and snap (3) to 1.5x distant snap?
01:02:359 (5,6,1) - Consider doing a jump pattern here or simply, snap to higher spacing. Try moving (6) to x:208 y:48 maybe.
01:16:415 (1) - There isn't anything here that justify such a big jump, I think you should reduce to something like 1.6x instead.
01:17:674 (6) - Similar to what I suggest for 01:02:559.
01:19:352 (1) - Similar to 01:16:415, nothing to really justify this jump so feel weird to play, try to reduce.
01:30:471 (6,7,8) - 1.3x spacing to this stream because 01:29:422 (1,2,3). This stream is spaced out 1.3x from previous note. Hope you understand what I mean, but try placing 01:30:261 (5) at x:280 y:264.
01:33:827 (3,4) - Try something a little different maybe? Nothing wrong with the pattern, but maybe more interesting to do for example this
http://puu.sh/1bndI
Definitely try to improve the hitsounds, sound quite empty at some parts, like during kiai time, need some whistle there.
Too much hitsound issue for my taste, so I'll hold my star for now, feel free to me at a later time when you think hitsound is better. I may star your map then. Since hitsound requires a lot of concentration to mod, I didn't manage to catch other issues. I decide not to check hitsound in Insane to help polish the map a little, hopes it help.
hmm, well good luck, this mod took a bit longer than expected to finish.
