Similarly, accessing https://osu-ppy-sh.tvgratuite.org/s/153776 and clicking on the artist name will take you to https://osu-ppy-sh.tvgratuite.org/p/beatmaplist?q=yuikonnu%20&%20ayaponzu*, with the ampersand not being escaped, resulting in everything after and including the ampersand being removed from the query.

Those characters simply can't be used in the search. Replacing such characters with a space instead of removing them might be better.

generally idk which other characters trigger a similar behaviour but you should be able to search for everything you're allowed to put in your name, shouldn't you? right now every name containing "-" breaks the search and tags such as desperate-kun basically become a worthless aid when searching something
