Similarly, accessing https://osu-ppy-sh.tvgratuite.org/p/beatmaplist?q=yuikonnu%20&%20ayaponzu*, with the ampersand not being escaped, resulting in everything after and including the ampersand being removed from the query.

Those characters simply can't be used in the search. Replacing such characters with a space instead of removing them might be better.

you can have "-" this thing in names like https://osu-ppy-sh.tvgratuite.org/u/2202645 but searching for this exact thing will remove the "-" from your search so you literally cannot search for a valid name

generally idk which other characters trigger a similar behaviour but you should be able to search for everything you're allowed to put in your name, shouldn't you? right now every name containing "-" breaks the search and tags such as desperate-kun basically become a worthless aid when searching something
