okay guys time for the real questions: how long do we give this tournament until it inevitably flops just like every other attempt at cooking up such a cursed thing

I'd give it like 2-3 weeks until host comes to the realization that the player base that could participate in the tourney consists almost purely of people with less then 50 hours of gameplay who are extremely unlikely to visit tournament forums (most of the 7digits either played for a little while and abandoned the game, play extremely sporadically or are new players that can easily get out of rank range if they'll continue playing the game). The already extremely small number of players who could participate is further cut by the strict time scheduling effectively confining the tournament to Asia only, as people in the Americas will be asleep and people in Europe in school/work.

I'm not an osu!standard main. and i shouldn't be in 7 digit, because i play better in the web version of osu. Yea its weird,the first time i played osu was on the web version and i could beatmaps up to almost 5 stars with HD. But when i migrated to the game client, i got worse. I couldn't 4 stars, and 3 stars are too easy for me, so i dont play them. Probably i suck in the game client because i cant find the right skin or smth lol.

We also ended up with too high a pool SR because I was too slow to inform poolers that their SR was too high.

It's not technically a World Cup, because that would require country-based teams. I think a better comparison would be to the Mrekk Grandmaster Cup (as it's 1v1), but that isn't great either.
