30 second to a minute of each game mode should be enough. Maybe osu standard spinner also.
If you do, thanks in advance.

Didn't notice hitcircleselects being wrong size. As for the Taiko scrollbar, I left that out because the size was too much of a pain to figure it out. However I have added a quick "hotfix" for it. It may be the wrong size, but it works. Both of these are in the newest .DakeDekaane wrote: d4k5k
ed this and it's very friendly to play at night, nice work, I only have a little complain about the taiko scrollbar in kiai, is too bright imo.
I know this skin wasn't mean for editing, just noticed you have hitcircleselect and hitcircleselect@2x inversed (256x256 and 128x128 respectively, it should be in the other way).
Nice work tho.
Added to the first post. Thanks for the video. The watermark is fine.-Kamikaze- wrote: 101r26

EDIT: Ok, it's done, but unfortunately only version that I got running was 12 trial version so I couldn't disable that watermark floating at the bottom. But I hope you'll still like it

My 1st time doing this seems not so bad after all

The skin fails to import so I can't use it. Both s are the same so I can't solve the problem by going to the zip file either. Is there a way around this?
Fixed the zip link being incorrect.Saturnalize wrote: v4b1m

For the new broken osk, use WinRAR archiver to extract it.
I tried using plain taiko-hitcircles, however a taiko player said it was hard to read. He said he used faces for the hitcircles, so I figure the black breaks up the solid colors and makes it easier to read. So I decided to make my own faces for it.Saturnalize wrote: v4b1m
I laughed at taiko-hitcircle but nah it disturbing for me.
Also why is that taiko-slideris imperfect ; ;

I Love you for that awesome skin <3.
But somehow all my sliders are coloured black today. My preformance is way worse since that. Is it because of a skin update or did i do something wrong ?
I reloaded the skin but nothing changed ?
There should be a full circle hitcircle in the extra folder. Not sure about the hitsounds. It should work.Yamadash wrote: 4j6p3n
TMy only complaint is the transparency on the hitcircles. I have a hard time streaming because of it. I was able to make the middle of the hitcircles solid, but it looks really bad if I mess with anything else (I'm not too skilled in photo manipulation)
For some reason I'm not able to add my own files to the skin. For example, my own hitsounds. When I do it still uses the default hitsounds.
Couldn't the make copy the hit300 from the extra folder and use blank.png to do the same thing? Just wondering.Shavit-sama wrote: l662b
I think you should add hit300-0(@2x).png, etc.. to remove the 300 hits from being displayed but still show on ranking .
Amazing skin anyways![]()
I don't think everyone knows how to do it, I know though, but most people just use the .osk which is the most simple way to install the skin.Uruoki wrote: o5b5i

Wow, this is very interesting, I never thought that a colour of a skin actually even mattered. Keep up the good work.
For just the colors, you can add a Black and White Gradient Map in Photoshop.Agrrox wrote: 3s3t6k
I'd like to ask you how do you colorize the hit-bursts to nice and eyefriendly greyed out color? How can i do it ? Wanna make my own hit-burst but dont how to do it in PSD.
Are you suggesting a more rounded follow-point?Agrrox wrote: 3s3t6k
I have suggestion for a good line-style follow-point. You can include it into your skin or at least make it as DLC (able content)
Reason why this follow-point is that its minimalistic and barely visible which make u focus more on circles and reduce the glow.
edit: One detail on it, when playing hidden with this follow-point. The ends are kinda distracting because of the angularity maybe remake it and make the ending and start of the line fade into transparent ?
ALSO I WANT TO KNOW WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK ABOUT THIS TOO![]()
So if I understand you, something like this?Agrrox wrote: 3s3t6k
i suggest this kind of followpoint but with rework, Making the end points with transparent transition. I mean when u play with this u will notice how sharp and distracting is end of followpoint

change it to it's appropriate color

Edit: Planckian Locus update has now been released. Please enjoy and leave any and I will work on them as soon as possible.
Try changing the skin.ini to these colors. They should be a lot more closer to the original.Agrrox wrote: 3s3t6k
also i want to say that latest update made the hitcircle harder to read because they are far less contrast to background, also i use 100%dim (if you convert them to greyscale), i think my eyes focus more to see hitcircles and approachcircles which is imo kinda tire my eyes
Both skins were designed to be used in low light settings.Agrrox wrote: 3s3t6k
problem is that planckian is designed for night and not day, during a day i have problem with sightreading.
For a day there is Luminance standard right?
It was planned, just haven't got around to it. If you want to change it before I update it, you can change them using the blank.png in the extra folder.Agrrox wrote: 3s3t6k
also there is a big flashing elements which i think is not necesary because...
1. it useless element
2. it take some place on screen u cant see well the background
3. its flashing
hope at next update you will put there a 1x1 transparent![]()
There will be. I just wanted to get the night time skin correctly done. I felt the original skin was lacking in that aspect and decided to revisit it with Planckian Locus. After this major update is finished, I should start working on the daytime version. I been wanting to do it for quite some time, just never mention it because I didn't want people to know about it and then have to wait. Once everything is done, there will be Luminance: Planckian Locus and the other one, which I will not revel the name yet. Those two will be the major aspect to Luminance and I will continue to update those regularly when new OSU features get added.vaidax5 wrote: w6s2e

Redon did a really good job on the skin, and I know a lot of people that mixed both of our skins together so I figure I would make it easier for those people. I personally think it is the best looking skin made so far. Redon made the skin really well.vaidax5 wrote: w6s2e

I don't mean to be a nit pick, Uruoki, but essentially all wavelengths in the visible spectrum travel a the same speed. They only change speed when traveling through a medium, i.e. a glass prism, the atmosphere etc..
But yea, that's nothing major. Just saying :3
I really like this idea, but, I'm pretty pessimistic about this.
Working out the science of the colours, applying them and then making them UI friendly will certainly take a lot of effort.
Best of luck, I hope this doesn't die! D:

Edit: I think I am pretty happy with the Planckian Locus skin and will most likely start on the day time version of Luminance tomorrow. Mainly depends on how I feel.

I think making second gap beetween hitcircle and hitcircle ovelay as seen above may decrease reading ability and overaly visibility of reading, but thats just my opinion.Uruoki wrote: o5b5i

As of right now I am trying to figure out color coordination right now and redeg a few elements. Still got a lot of work. It has been so long since I used a bright color skin, so it may be tomorrow when I get done. I have a lot of play testing to do to make sure it is the best skin before I release it.![]()
Hitcircles were redesigned because I removed the slight transparency the rings had so the combo colors will produce at the brightness hue. Because of this, it was harder to read stacks, so I removed part of the outer circle. As for the black border, you don't really notice it in motion. It just slightly helps break up the stack and if someone wants to play with background showing, they finally can.Agrrox wrote: 3s3t6k
The hitcircles looks broken on these screenshots imo, and what about to change approachcircle ??? What i want to point out is that approachcircles have black border which takes too much focus or they cut black lines to shapes and sliders. is black edge rly necesary ? I mean it may help with reading stacks but...
I'm using red for small or miscellaneous items. The skin will be ugly at the first release, but I am using those colors for those reason. As of right now, it is on halt for at least 2 weeks. Have stuff coming up and if I do any updates, it will be on the current Planckian Locus.techbot wrote: 23541g

not necesary you can create your own and move the files in or out from folderYuukidesuu wrote: 1i5h5g
Can you make a folder or a package where its different to each mods.
What i mean is, have the skin only for Standard, Taiko, CTB, or Mania.
It would be bigger to because I would have to include the interface files in all of them as well.Yuukidesuu wrote: 1i5h5g

I have an idea that may fix it, but since I don't play mania, I would still have to wait for . So if it doesn't work, it may take a bit to fix.Agrrox wrote: 3s3t6k
just little to max 300 or 320 notes. They cut/blends with notes which is kinda hard to read.

setting version to 2.2 in the skin.ini fixes most things, only thing 'broken' is that the difficulty stars seem hella small like that.
The skin uses many different factors that is not addressed in the article. On top of that, the article is from 2003 and most of the sources are no longer there. The article mention that green and blue may be used if the brightness (hue) is turned down. This is how I was able to use these colors in the first skin. One thing that the article did not mention was the use of the color purple. This is because purple has the highest wavelength and uses a lot of energy. Because of this it will take longer to adapt to night vision. The skin does not use any purple colors (unless it is forced by osu!). In the Planckian Locus update, the main focus is color temperature. The article did not touch on this at all. The article may have applied to the first skin, however it was majorly flawed. Which is why Planckian Locus was created.Agrrox wrote: 3s3t6k
