application sent uh, gooo!
(from days ago lol)
im talking about the fact that simply anybody can knock on the door and apply for a place in the chart team. a team which was supposed to resemble quality. it's now just a random bunch of people gathered around who vote for the maps they like most (like it already was, i was in it), but that will now simply tremble down even further. it's just sad to see that happen.Kingkevin30 wrote: 2g5w4g

Simple. A carefully selected team of people who know what they are doing.
i think a better structured plan as what to consider a "quality"-map would be helpful
which factors are more important then other..
the Difficulty spread?
The Patterns?
the diversity of the different genre categories?
etc.

How 'good' a map is, is part of the map as entity. It's an attribute of that entity. The only real problem with trying to make the best damn possible objective based judgement is that it will always be clouded by your own opinion/view on things. That is exactly why it's important to establish a team of people who know what they are doing and dealing with; so they can discuss and end up with the best damn possible chart.
Keep it with a bunch of random people who vote for what they like rather than what is good, and you'll end up with bad charts.

GladiOol: Anybody can apply for CAT, but not everybody will be accepted. The selection process will take about 2 weeks, where I will carefully select a group of applicants for the CAT to discuss who should be in and who should not and why. Things have changed since you have left ;3

It's not needed to have mapping or modding experience, yet recommendable to the CAT. If you're an experienced player, you should know what's fun to play and what not without having any knowledge of mapping.
Nevertheless having mapping experience is a plus that helps to distinguish what's good and not.

No modding experience is required, but it is a plus.All what you need are:
- Being active in playing newest maps (How will you vote for maps if you have not even seen them?)
- Have an experience in playing (How will you vote for maps if you do not know what the real good map looks like?)
We are primarily looking for with a good amount of playing experience;
I am not saying that you will be not accepted, but I can't really say that since April you have gained a lot of experience in a game. - You need to be able to give an opinion and state the reason WHY this or the other map is worth being in a Chart. Explain what is good and what is bad there.
- Furthermore, this was not specified here, but a good expression in English is recommended. (While reading your replies and posts I cannot say that you have a good command of the language and can prove your statements so that people would understand it..)

Most of the needed qualities are already described in that Thread and the OP. Just check it again if you feel unsure. But please avoid to write a 2nd application.

Indeed there's not a real limit. The more people who can help, the better. That doesn't mean everybody who applies there will be selected, but only the people who really deserve it.Marcin wrote: 1u1j
There is probably no limit - they take people which are just good for this position.
