theres not really much to derusting, i cant really say much. the only advice is mental and the only one i have is try to sightread new charts and only return to old charts once youre derusted since youll be comparing yourself less

i should add this to my advive post yo

I think derusting is one of those things thats just different for everyone, so you kinda just have to find what works for you.

Personally for the first day back, I just completely ignore my performance and just have fun w the game. After that I just push like usual but from whatever skill level I'm at at that moment. Focusing on where you used to be instead of where you are kinda wears you out, so I just wouldn't worry at all. You WILL get back there eventually, and way quicker than you think

Also focus on correcting any bad habits you might've had before the break. It's kinda like a fresh start. For example check if you're tapping too hard, tensing too much, your posture, etc,. It's a great chance to come back stronger

only 5 days? rookie numbers.
best thing to do imo is backtrack on the songs you know you improved on to a point of not needing to play them anymore, so stuff that's like 98%+. See how you do on those, and if you need to get accustomed to them again, do so. That's what I've been doing and it has yielded results.
That said, still play a new map every once in a while just for the fun of the game or being bored of mindblocking yourself. For all you know, you could have magically improved in some skill or regard that seems completely ridiculous, like how I came back and noticed my PA/MA somehow went up by like over 0.3, not that I'm complaining about being more accurate.
