I want to start the oni soon, after I will fully control to muzukashii. But it is very difficult for me to get used to it. I in TnT at least manage with 8-9 star Oni but in osu taiko I get scared patterns and I freeze even on 3-4 star
I know that I need to play more. I want to make the transition to oni more effective and practical

ngl i know im not really good at taiko (7/8 star oni in webport taiko no tatsujin) but youre basucally askinf how to play better

honwstly just play a wide variety of charts, play as much stuff as you can and youll naturally improve. this isnt neccisarily play more but its play a wider variety. when ppl say play more, they really mean play more of that specific thing by devoting more of your session to it. you can have amazimf improvement with only spending 2h a day total on rhythm games and horrible improvement 6h a day. warm up can also help improvement, just play accuracy focused plays on warmup and itll naturally improve. if youre having a day where your fingers just cant go fast, sightread alot of easier charts with high acc and if its a normal or good day for finger speed then develop that by playing new songs at new densities. i know this advice is for mania, but it should apply but still take with grain of salt or maybe even 2 or 3 or f(x) = sin(87*x^1.2) + 4x solve f(3.45) grains of salt. only unsalt this advice if a taiko player quotes this and states EXACTLY "i can confirm this advice applies without any error" if it all applies and if no perfect for taiko then they specify what wrong. its mostly about finger and how to do whateverin sessions and develop hit accurately so i think itll apply, if i said smth directly about taiko then i domt think i can be trusted like for example "mrekk could beat 2.73 star tin can while asleep"

You say TnT? kddk player?

I don't know about tatacon gameplays but if you're playing on board I can at least say try to play patterns as smoothly as possible. Muzukashii has few 1/4 bursts I say it's already a good steppingstone to Oni. Just like you say, play more, but not work more. Also, if you're playing on board at your rank try to get 97-98% on your top plays. Otherwise, it might come and haunt you later. Prioritize stability, the rest will come swimmingly.
