Hi! thanks for reading my first post in here :D my osu! name is weird, but I usually go by "neon" :P

I used to play this game a looooong time ago but I recently got back to playing it and although I really like it I think I would enjoy progressing further and getting better with some other people, I've heard multi lobbies are fun but I haven't tried that out yet since I don't think I'm good enough / I'd prefer playing with some friends in vc and whatever.

If ur rank's close to mine and u wanna play sometime hmu whenever! I'll be happy to see someone hit me up because of this post haha

If ur better than that I'd looooooove some tips on general improvement, the time it took you to get certain stuff down and I'm struggling with streaming atm so if u could I'd love to hear ur experience with progressively being able to do harder streams :)

Since this IS an introduction post I'll share some fun facts about me I guess so if u wanna get to know me here's some stuff I like!

My fav games include: Hotline Miami 1 & 2, Terraria, OMORI, Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards and Spelunky 2
Apart from osu! I'm trying to get better at melee, continue playing through Persona 4 and 100% Kirby's Dreamland 3 (The art style is beautiful I loooove pastel tone stuff :3)
I'm really into fashion and music so I'll share some favorites:
My fav brands from which I own some stuff include: Rick Owens, Vetements, Balenciaga, Kapital, Thug Club and Chrome Hearts
My fav artists that I listen to often are: Ecco, Bladee and Thaiboy from drain gang, Femtanyl, Osamason, 2hollis and JPEGMAFIA, also I went to both of these last artists' concerts recently and loved it!, I love going to concerts and just diving into the moshpits and all that stuff (Open to a ton of more artists and genres I didn't mention tho! I listen to some more niche stuff hehe)

ok, I've done enough yapping for this first post, if u read the entire thing: thank u!!!! I think ur cool :)

Hi! Welcome back!

I've been playing since 2015, and while im not exactly good at the game even still, I do have some general advice for you:
  1. Don't get too caught up in the game. While it's addicting and fun, your health matter always, ESPECIALLY YOUR HANDS (and this goes for any rhythm game)
  2. Try and practice with practice maps or unranked maps (or even graveyarded maps). These have helped me drastically over the years!
  3. Your skin can also play a role in it too. Being able to read the notes is very important and the skin you use can alter that drastically.
  4. Oh also...don't get too caught up in ranking/farming either. Like I mentioned before, health is important. I was focused on my rank until the past couple of years because it was catching up to me mentally.
  5. enjoy game!
also i LOVE CONCERTS! I've been to so many and even got VIP to meet my favorite band.

enjoy game!

I have two pieces of advice regarding streams. First, regarding flow aim, I would generally recommend to look at each circle of the stream if possible, and to read the notes of the stream as individually as possible, as opposed to processing the entire stream as one thing. As for the tapping aspect of streams, really make sure you pay attention to your technique, as it is the basis of your speed, finger control and more. Pay attention if you have consistent and avoidable errors (e.g. one finger just barely doesn't press down enough sometimes, leading to fingerlock).

Maybe some advice I can give is to understand the basics of the game itself, such as what OD, AR, CS are. Because knowing that can make it easier for you to play and also practice.

Most of their players imitate top players such as following Playstyle, Tablet Area / Sensitivity and DPI, etc. Don't copy that kind of thing because it comes back to yourself how you are comfortable playing, and it also doesn't mean you play fast = faster you are good. it doesn't all apply to all players. It's better to be consistent than hasty.

Hopefully my advice can help, if there is input from others can be added. Good luck

Just play songs you like in the diff you wanna get good at. After some casual plays, you'll probably start getting used to harder diffs. Then you'll start wanting a harder challenge so you up a level.

Do NOT ask me about streams (specially spaced ones). My hands can't take that Y-Y
