This one successfully ed a 5MB GIF and detected it as a GIF without converting it. Based on the folder, this seems very first ones they created.

I just created team and ed a 5MB GIF too, but it was automatically converted to JPEG. I think they changed the rule?

I compressed my gif to 831kb and it turns out as a jpeg. Idk what im doing wrong

Not on your end. GIF is technically not ed, so if it doesn't work... nothing that could be done about it, really.
