I think all humans have an innate desire (need?) to express themselves and feel connected with the world around them. Whether that be connecting with society, your close friends and family, nature, animals, art, or whatever it is you desire to connect with, we all just want to connect and feel understood.
We are a social species.
I believe good healthy self expression will lead to living a healthy fulfilling life and can produce beneficial personal growth.
But maybe the best way to understand how to express yourself is to truly have a proper understanding of yourself and your self-identity. You need to know HOW to express, or else you will repeatedly feel misunderstood and unable to connect with whoever or whatever it is you wish to connect with.
Idk, I’m just using Necro thread as my loosely connected thought journal at this point.

The deeper I think about things, the more questions I run into. Is there an endpoint to the questions, or is everything in life cyclical. Are all things interwoven and connected? Who knows.

funny modernity of warmly dimmed wall-lamps against the awkwardly dated painterly artwork beside them
eyes peering and peeling at the faces and gestures of attendants, their expressions and their actions-- they bowed their heads but i would always peek
searching for people of interest, trying to notice new or characteristic things... looking for people i thought were nice, people to talk to or youth to waste time with while waiting to leave in the aftermath
doodling idle escapism on memo pads
