We are always looking for new commentators to present their talent, if you think you have what it takes to cast with the best of the best ChillierPear for more information.
So far so typical, I believe. Top seeds 5-0, with the only two upsets (by seed) being #19 Turkey beating #14 and #17 Brazil beating #16 Romania.
Not much else to say as I'm not really religiously watching the tourney or the vods, but aside from seeing Tekkito SS the 2nd map vs. Peru (Hokaugo Stride) there's not much I can really comment on.
There's only one real team who has a chance at beating the US, and it's not Mrekk. But damn if he didn't try.
To be that crusty says-only-the-middle-of-the-line-obvious-stuff guy, if Australia was basically only the Mrekk show as the solo carry (no hate to ASecretBox, etc.), the US and SK are the hydras with multiple heads you have to kill to take them down. This time WindowLife pulled them into a spot that Rektygon/H-Bomb and Utami could close it out, but you just know that at any moment one of them could pull it off. Again, absolutely no hate to the rest of the AUS team.
I personally still think SK's gonna take this year (probly 7-5, no reset), but even if we can keep the record of staying in the Grand Finals I'll still be happy, personally.
Apparently there was a 4-1 curse this finals weekend. AUS went up 4-1, lose 7-6 in TB. US goes up 4-1, loses 6 straight.
In any case, while we say "the king is dead, long live the king", we'll have to see if SK can defend next year. I don't think the US are going to drop off the map, and I truly think they'll still be back in contention for it next year--to be honest, I fully expect another SK vs. USA with AUS having to stare on forlornly.
GG South Korea! I wish you all the luck in holding on to this!
