Almost anything mainstream, since that's absolute garbage. Mainstream music nowadays had become absolute trash to listen to. That's why genres that are older are better, or older versions of genres that still go strong today will work, even in an oversaturated world of blatantly soulless destruction of one's self.

As a music producer who happened to be Ashkenazi (possibly) by blood, I don't want to listen to that trash. I'd rather independent artists that aren't bought up by these record labels (because let's face it, all of them are unlawfully evil in their own right).

my favorite rap songs are things like Children's Story, Gangsta's Paradise and Mockingbird because it removes that awful vibe that the rap has

this rap era is absolutely GORGEOUS, but the new rap that we have now is just HORRIBLE (like those ice spice and yeat music that most youngsters listen to because of tiktok)

There's a genre popular in Romania called Manele. It's folk music, often having the same sort of lyrical content as rap, but there is no interesting word play at work or any deeper meaning that a conscious rap song might have. The lyrics are simple, dumbed down, often repeating ad nauseam, talking about sex appeal, social and/or financial status or superiority to the nay-sayers of the singers. To some degree, they're written for self-inserting too. Unlike something like rap, which is a genre I'm mixed on, there really aren't any songs in this genre that try to say anything of particular note, in an interesting way. A conscious rap song might employ interesting wordplay to make a point, be heavy hitting in some way or otherwise present something to the listener that makes them wonder/think about an issue, even if it is for a little bit. Songs in this genre fail to do that.

but incidentally, there's a loose blur of vaguely popular genres and styles that i'm exhausted by, some of what i dislike is still somehow what i want to learn to like, just so i can learn more about what it's like for people to form a taste for their favorites, and why/how that became their favored range of music.

sometimes, it's not so much the music i dislike, but more what it might imply from people. alternatively, there's music i do dislike that i still adore for what it means to others, what that music signifies or speaks for (inclusive of fandom interests, creative internet media, or simply whatever it is that embodies someone's experiences and joys), so it might be more or less complicated than i'm imagining.

I hate songs that just sample an old song and slightly change the lyrics, as well as overly repetitive tracks where the same lyrics or drop are repeated throughout the entire song

the only type I truly hate is boring summer-y pop. I like my music with a twist or cool sounds.

I still like some jazz, just not much. I'm prefer to hear something modern, high energy, melodic like EDM, J-core, Rock so Jazz don't really match my taste. But I do find some are good and respect people who love it
