That's it...I'm loosing motivation in playing

Nothing hard. Just no one cared about scores in osu. As well as I. Just played random maps with random stars for fun. Also always played Multiplayer.

Maybe when I'm no longer just focus on the circles but both circles and rhythm. I believe that takes time and this period may vary from one to another.

You're just approaching this in a wrong way.
osu! has a long learning curve and if you can't complete 3* maps that means you should reduce difficulty.
Build up some proficiency through playing easier maps and move up in small steps instead of trying to do things you can't do right from the start.

It took me about a month to finally start ing 3* maps. But then again i started to play full alternate a week after i started, and played almost all maps with full alternation ever since, may or may not be the reason it took me this much the reach there. Still trying to fc 3*.

It took me 18 months from to a 3*, but I wasn't actively playing for the first year, and got a 3* FC 27 days after that, and got my first 4* today, ~5 months after the first 3*.

It took me 17 days to my first 3 star. Interestingly enough I FCed a four star before a 3 star. Took me 2 months and 17 days. And then four days later I FCed my first 3 star.

It took me about 3 months to play 3 stars somewhat comfortably, 3 months later and I'm still stuck at the same level

Old thread, but I started this game the beginning of this month (25 hours play time) and I can finally 3 star maps with 85-90% accuracy. Hopefully more progress to come!

I think what they meant was Singletap/Alternate.
So they were trying to alternate the map.

I started playing osu a little longer than 3 weeks ago and stopped for a week because school was to much to handle and played Days Gone. It took me 2 weeks at most to constantly clear 3-3.5* even a 3.9* map in the first 5 tries with C or better . My question is , what DPI and in game sens are you using because I can't do those jumps properly?

it didnt actually take me that long, im pretty new to the game considering i ed just last year but it took me only a couple weeks. i think it honestly depends on the person because my little brother has been playing for months and he still gets D's on 2-3 stars

5 hours to my first 3 star, I could do them consistently after 7-10 hours. I FC-ed my first 3 star at 17 hours. Now at 19 hours I have ed 3 four star maps. Never played a rhythm game before other than beatsaber.

About...4 months? I played for about a month or two in 2016, put the game down and basically didn't touch it for 5 years, and re-started playing back in February or so. I think I started playing 3*'s for real in early April, and I've been playing at that level since then.

I can actually play at ing low 4*'s at the moment, but you won't see any of that on my profile.

For me, I learned about Osu! around 2 years before I ed. This is because I had only a mac for those years until recently. So when I ed Osu!, I had basically a head-start. This meant I got to 3 stars FC in around 1-2 months. Dont be discouraged though, some players improve at their own speed. Improvement RATE doesnt matter, Improvement DEDICATION is what really puts you at the top.

After fully understand the game, I manage to start learning 3* beatmaps. It tooks longer because I have no idea about adding beatmap to the game. So it would probably take 2-3 weeks (because of my limit playtime, I can only play for 2 days per week). It's still pretty short after my friends give me quaver after being pain in harumachi xd.

i am very actve i first ed osu 23 days ago. i almost play 7-8 hours a day. and i only needed 20 days to a 5 star map. still i got(B)rating. i can easyly ss a3 star map. after reading this comments i feel like real accompleshid .btw i play in a laptop over 4 years old with a mouce. gess what i just fc a 4 star map got an a on 5 star map

keep it up, just dont go straight to playing 5* maps and play 4* maps till you are comfortable with fcing high 4*.

tho the 4 year old laptop is kind of a weird flex since many people play with laptops much older than that... myself included... ;-;

i ed trying to play high sr maps with ez(ht) when i was new cuz i actually thought ez makes the game easier lol which is why i only start getting fc on 3* maps consistently after like 6 months of playing lolol

2* - Day I started
3* - 2 days after
4* - 5 days after
5* - 22 days after
6* - 42 days after

5-7 hrs I almost finished 2 3star maps

I still have a lot to learn, but like I'm very busy too, so improving in osu! would take me a lot more tries than you guys might think...

I ed my first 3-star test like a day or two after I first started playing. I got it that early because I thought that having these es at such a high rank was cool because the maps were progressively getting faster and 3 stars looked like 10 to me at the time.

Well I used a touchpad to play osu on an old laptop, so that's why..Playing with mouse to me kinda felt not great, because the mouse (I got a very cheap but crappy one...) can just literally flick my cursor on the very edge without me ever knowing ;w;

Then I got a better mouse. (It was a random one that I found on some room..)
It felt much better, but then it still has the chance to just be a broken mouse and then flicker my cursor to the edge too, though that happened way less often...

However it all got more stale and worse and worse..

It was a mouse that required batteries to play..(It was a wireless one..)

Then I broke it, because it just got way too broken to move around with it, so I had to buy another one, that one mouse being the one I currently use!

Thankfully it looks much cooler and it actually feels a lot smoother to move too.

It's also a pretty durable one that can tank some fall damage if the mouse falls down on accident. And it feels much more comfortable to grab it!

All worth it for 15€! -w-

It was very frustrating to move around with my finger, because I sometimes have to move at the whole touchpad two or three times, because the amount of space that it has was just HORRIBLE! ;w;

Okay my new gaming mouse isn't the best. It's a wired one, so it can still make my cursor go weeeeeeeeeee~, but only if the wire of my mouse gets somewhat messed up, then I just readjust the wiring positions of the mouse..

well hi dude i am that guy. i just noticed i misspelled a lot of things up there.its been what? 1 year and 7 months i have been pretty consistent though i was not active at the game because of exams. i can do 300pp plays easily now 'i don't have much 300 pp play in my top beacuase i am aiming for 400. well my 3rd top play is a 400 pp choke. what i meant by "4 year old laptop" is that this junk can't run any games but osu. thats the only game i play. i will upgrade soon.i hope i can reach 4 digit the end of this year.
