Recently finished Bubblegum Crisis. Despite some weird writing flaws here and there (like character deaths and emotional drama that absolutely do not work) it's a pretty fun Sci-Fi Police show with great animation and an outstanding soundtrack. The main girls are all likeable and each have excellent designs. The opening of the first episode is quite possibly one of the best openings to any show in the history of the medium, not even kidding.
Barely inches itself into a 7/10 for me. Fun 80's anime action.
finna be watching onimai i think. i read the manga years before the anime had even been anounced. though i find it weird that thay changed mahiro's hair from white to pink and now she looks like hoshino from blue archive.
Currently watching Hellsing (2001). Overall not much to say as I'm only 2 episodes in, but I like what's being presented to me so far: crime / monster of the week type show. I like its gritty aesthetic to an extent although the art department could be a bit better especially with the sky (which looks flat and makes the world feel smaller). Not expecting anything extraordinary or necessarily great but I'm enjoying it nonetheless and hope to see more of Alucard, both in this version and later in Ultimate (Ultimate I have high expectations for, not in story or overall depth but in visuals and its more care-free, comic yet badass presentation of Hellsing's ridiculous ideas).

Just started rewatching Nichijou. It will forever be my favourite anime lol
Currently, watching "Don't toy me, Miss Nagatoro 2nd Attack". And I like it. SPOILERS AHEAD:Nagatoro seems to slowly love naoto cuz she cared about him. for example, she easily gets jealous when naoto compliments other girls, which was also seen on the first season. One of my Favorites was, when Naoto got sick and her mother went to work, nagatoro was worried bout him and went to his house. to watch after him, until naoto's mother arrived home. How adorable 😊.
I gotta recommend you watching this. It's a pretty funny and a nice Slice of Life Anime. Some parts are pretty annoying, but you'll get used to it (I hope)😅
Kyokou Suiri Season 2. I was going in this anime with low expectations because of the 1st season but was genuinely surprised when I enjoyed this one. I'm currently in the middle of the pinocchio story.
But honestly the reason why I like this season so much is that the story now revolves around the relationships between the yokais and the humans. The 2 main characters only appear when they get called to solve a problem that the humans and yokai have. I hope this formula keeps continuing for the 2nd season as I really enjoyed this slice of life style they're going for here.
I just finished Yuri Kuma Arashi. I did not expect such a mindrape.
Despite being WAY weirder than the other two Ikuhara's anime I watched, this was considerably easier to understand.
Uzaki-chan season 2. Now it's finally getting good. The first season was just as boring as the manga but since the romance is finally picking up, the jokes and such are starting to get more enjoyable. The manga gets better later down the line, so of course the anime gets better too. But it's nice to see this get adaptated in general since the mangaka tried so hard to have it get picked up by a studio to adapt it.

I'm watching... uh naruto... uh i stopped coz is more than 1000 episodes and i think is bad, because don't ends.
Gugu died. WHY. ;w; I was barely recovering from March.
Anyway, on topic. Found a random DVD that contained an old-ish anime called Amatsuki... pretty eh...
One of these isekai disguised as time travel. But it was made in 2008 so the plot is more similar to a 2000s action historical anime than your typical isekai.
Urusei Yatsura (2022). I personally never watched the original version, but I think it's interesting to see some aspects of the new show have some sort of feel coming from the old era of anime. I heared the IP is a mega hit in Japan, so I took a chance and watched it. It's going pretty good rn, the show is mostly episodic so it's a nice change of pace from all of the abudance of story-driven anime these days.
Mushikaburi hime. I actually never watched it despite it being in my currently watching list in my MAL, cause tbh, the plot itself is really boring for me. I just watched episode one but it seems like the pacing was so fast. Like goddamn, a time skip in the first episode? Too fast.
That 2000 year demon academy anime part 2. It honestly should've stopped at the first season. Everyone already acknowledge that the power fantasy MC is very strong so it lost all it's fun now after that. Also idk what happened, the there aren't any episodes getting released at the moment. Maybe some production problems? idk, haven't checked into it.
manga, but catching up on Watashi wo Tabetai, Hitodenashi, started reading it 3 years ago, when only the first 2 volumes were released, din't quite get into it, but now that i'm catching up to all the new stuff that I read some of the secodn volume to , I really enjoy it a lot more now, it's a really good manga
BOFURI. I've begun to feel like the anime seems to have a tight budget. With poor animation, a ton of montages, only 1 song is used, etc. It's still pretty fun though, but I'd prefer if the production is better.
Despite it being made in 2008, the art and the animation quality sures several of the anime released in the 2010s. It also has a nice plot, grweat battle scenes, and it even has furries in it! Bingeable.
Currently halfway through baki the grappler and god damn is it such an entertaining show. This old show might actually be better than the netflix adaptation lol.
Just finished Kantai Collection "Season 2" (binge watched it in a day w) It has more serious tone than the "first season" and a good potential but somehow didn't deliver it Also there's that one artist who make awesome Shigure art. Go check them out
Watcing a fuck ton this season so I express my thoughts on Isekai de Cheat Skill wo Te ni Shita Ore wa, Genjitsu Sekai wo mo Musou Suru: Level Up wa Jinsei wo Kaeta.
The premise... is interesting. For an isekai of course. I don't really like how they're doing things though. MC was a fat ugly man who was mega depressed and they immediately turned him into a hot ikemen body MC. Like what's the point in that? MC never overcame himself organically and worked hard for that body, he just got it because of isekai logic. Now all the women fall for him which yeah that's pretty on par the isekais but the man never did anything to earn it unlike other protags. Seems like they're trying to clean up small threads on the real world so MC could go isekai travelling. But come on, wtf's the point of the real world isekai world plot if you're just gonna abandon one of them for the other? Fucking awful.
Ichika: Onee-san type. Which is not my type but ok
Nino: An aggressive tsundere. Somewhere between Chitoge and Senjougahara. While tsundere best dere, she's a bit too unnecessarily brutal but her doujin is good so there's that
Miku: Everyone's favorite. Full stop. She seems to be the only one who is introverted tho.
Yotsuba: This picture explain it all
And like the real Yuigahama, I think [oregairu spoiler]she has a high chance to become yahallost, like, i don't know why authors love bullying cute airhead girl. But judging by the statistics, I think it's a high chance this would happened
Itsuki: Also a tsundere. But non-aggressive glass-canon type. Which I stand by the above statement that Tsundere best dere. So I put her at the top of the list. But then again, all of them are waifu material in their own rights. Even Nino (who I put last). So this is one of the few shows where I cannot decisively declare who's "Best girl" lol
onimai holy fucking shit I love this anime. The visuals are amazing. It seems like the animators have been given more freedom to express the scenes in their certain way, that's why the animation is much more fluid compared to other anime. It's especially apparent in episode 8, the animation style often changed during scenes and damn it's just an amazing episode in general.
I like the plot too. It doesn't focus on the genderbender aspect but focuses more on the slice of life and what's it's like being a girl. Mahiro isn't an awful MC too. He? may be a neet and anti-social but he makes steady progress as he's continually assisted by his sister. Overall wholesome shit 9/10.
Ichika: Onee-san type. Which is not my type but ok
Nino: An aggressive tsundere. Somewhere between Chitoge and Senjougahara. While tsundere best dere, she's a bit too unnecessarily brutal but her doujin is good so there's that

OK since I finished everything, including the movie, here's my final verdict. A solid 8.5/10 y'all should watch: Itsuki >= Nino > Yotsuba > Miku >>> Ichika.
This is it. No further explanation. BEST WAIFU NO CAP. A mild Tsundere who speaks in a mannered way is definitely THE BEST. Although I'm a bit disappointed with her story. It has become clear since a little bit into the second season that she doesn't stand a chance of winning, since the author decided to "Ah f*ck it. I'd like to write her off as Fuutaro's best friend lol". Essentially making her a "plot device" as some would say.
Nino:
Her redemption arc in the second season is really a redemption arc. I'd put her a little below Itsuki. Since the author decided to dump Itsuki like that, I rooted for Nino. Once she made up her mind, she goes on FULL OFFENSIVE which made her top tier waifu material in an instant. She's still a Violent-type Tsundere somewhere between Chitoge and Senjougahara tho. Although she becomes more sweeeeeet as time progress. NINO's SO CUUUUUTTTTTEEEEEE. The moment she knew she lost tho I just can't......
Also many ppl pointed out Nino literally drugged MC twice so she didn't deserve the "best waifu" place even after the redemption arc. I'd argued that Senjoughara literally stapled Araragi's gum in the first 10 minutes of Monogatari. And ppl still worshipped her "Best waifu of all time." even after 14 years. So Nino definitely deserved it.
Yotsuba:
She actually managed to WON? It's quite a rare case that a Genki-type character managed to won. Which is good and refreshing. Yotsuba can be described as a cute, energetic, airhead, giver-type character aka. Yuigahama Yui. Which is my second most favorite type of character after Tsunderes. With that said, the fact that she's a winner girl and got so little screentime is VERY UNFAIR TO HER. I'd like to see more Yotsuba x Fuutaro before the conclusion tho (idk if there's more of these inmanga cu I didn't read it). Some people may point out that "BRUH HOW TF SHE WON SHE HAS NO CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT AL ALL. I'd argue that what she needs isn't more character development. But MORE SCREEN TIME PLEASE GODDAMNIT.
Miku:
A shy and introverted character aka. Komi-san lite. Miku probably has the most character development out of the quintuplets. She slowly but steadily comes out of her shell also with the help of her sisters, as you can see in the second season's ending . And that alone make her a "best girl" in the eyes of the many.
Ichika:
Onee-san type characters is not my type. But kudos to the author for executing Ichika the way she is. I won't forgive her for what she has done during the second school trip tho.
Jigoraku. I have to say this shit is so cool. MAPPA keeps making bangers man. The plot is unique, good characters, and whew the sound track is awesome. I'm really invested in the story despite Gabimaru's wife having a penis scar ruins my immersion from time to time lmao.
wow I didn't know what I was expecting from this anime after watching the 1st season. And seemingly enough the show still hasn't changed at all from the 1st. It's still continuing the formulaic slice of life which is, yeah that's the point but I think it'd missed it's potential of having a good balance between slice of life and the power fantasy genre.
Still watching Watamote (episode 5) and the more I keep watching, the more I become attached to Kuroki... Oh my lord she's so funny when she gets weird LOL
Demon Slayer's Swordsmith Village Arc. Yeah it's the same thing as last time. Not saying that it's bad but it's been pretty much of the same amazing animation and good storytelling that we've seen over these years. I'm really getting more invested in the plot since they've been dropping hints about muzan's past and the mysterious breathing technique that almost killed him. I really don't know how Ufotable could get any better than this since it's already pretty great.
Netflix Baki S2. Finally some semblance of quality. Looks like they god rid of the CGI and Baki actually has importance in the show now! wow!
I usually love tournament arcs so I may be biased but I'm currently enjoying the show. One thing I really liked is how much screentime Yuujiro has now. Usually in every adaptation so far, he's either a side character acting like a teaser for the final boss, or shows up in a flashback scene, so I appreciate him getting more chances to develop his character.
That Ranking of Kings spin-off I forgot the name of. It's not as good as the main series since it's just one off stories put in-between the plot of the main series. But besides that, it's pretty enjoyable. It's nice to get more context to events in the main series and understand more of our characters and motivations. There's also some slice of life elements in there if they're not diving deep into the plot too.
Hanma Baki: Son of Ogre. At this point I have no hopes of netflix ever making a good baki adaptation. They still fucked up the previous one by cancelling the tournament all together and switching it out with the pointless alai jr. story. I only watched 2 episodes but I have a bad feeling about this. They already used CGI in the first episode so at this point I have low expectations.
Romantic Killer. At first glance I thought I wasn't gonna like this show but the way they balance comedy and genuine romance is actually really entertaining. The characters are well made and they're all fun to watch.
Mashiro no Oto. It's about a high school student trying to find his "sound" with the shamisen. I love listening to the performances in each episode and the visuals accompanying it really makes you feel the song alongside the characters. It's a great show currently.
Pop team epic. It's actually nice I can understand some of the references since most of it is based on japanese pop culture. Good thing I've been watching JP media since I wouldn't laugh as hard if I didn't
Listeners is fucking awful. I'm only a few episodes in and I'm already feeling really bored with watching it. It's an anime based on music but features none at all? wtf's the point of the music aspect then? The plot is bad, failed worldbuilding, it's too fast pace, we change a cast of characters each episode so we wouldn't get attached to them other than the 2 horribly written protagonists, and what's with this animation?! For an anime like this coming from MAPPA really makes me think they didn't put any care at all into this show being good and focused on the bigger and better ones.
I completely forgot that it was a kizuna based production lmao. After ing that, my expectations dropped severely since of course they won't have the usual budget for anime production, especially if they're doing multiple projects.
But even so, I've only gone through episode 2 but there is no semblance of an ultimate goal here. It's a next scene next scene type of anime where nothing has no connection with eachother. The story is barely there, it's just MC wanting to be the a great idol like Kizuna Ai but the story looks like if you turned a regular highschooler's life into an anime, which is so boring. Nobody wants to watch a story where the same routine happens over and over and nothing changes.
So, I started watching Shoujo Kageki Revue Starlight.
HOLY FUCK HOW IS THIS JUST RATED 7.67 IN MAL?!, THE ANIMATION, THE EMOTIONS, THE BATTLE CHOREOGRAPHY AND THE CHARACTERS ARE AWESOME. ONE EPISODE GODDAMNIT AND I AM ALREADY FUCKING LOVING IT.
I know this show is gonna be awful but I didn't know it was gonna be this painful. Every piece of dialouge is so awkward, especially where they always, ALWAYS MAKE a slight pause each line, which makes it painfully more awkward. And wtf with this relationship? These characters are so horrible and devoid of any potential character development cause it keeps going around in a fucking circle of MC being an idiot and FMC always running away. It's only been episode 3 and I don't think I can continue watching. I don't usually drop shows but I make drop this one cause it's so painful to watch.
i’m watching Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan and i like it. It’s so nice and funny. There's no big or complicated plot but just a life of 16 yo boy who has different powers. You guys should watch it
BNHA actually, i put it off for so long simply because of zoomer taste but im around 10 episodes deep and i can easily see why people really like this particular anime, the deku and bakugo rivalry is too over the top imo
overall 9 episodes deep ill give it a 8/10 for now since it piqued my interest quite a bit but it doesnt fully resonate with me (yet)
update if anyone cares: ive managed to get halfway into season 2 now and its really starting to pick up for me now, still 8/10 but it can easily be a 9 or even 10 if the executed it right.
