I've learned a lot about mapping basics from watching pishifat videos and the occasional monstrata live stream. Of course, just watching won't instantly make you a pro. It will help you get improve quicker, but you still have to map and map and map to gain the personal learning experience.
My favorite is watching people mod maps. It helps explain why things are bad.

Don't take things out of context. There are plenty of people who what to be better at mapping, but there are a low number of people that would want to deal with random people ignorant of basic concepts.

You are correct on the point of people who want to deal with new mappers to learn mapping itself is pretty low [I know this because I am "mentoring-ish" 3 people right now and most of my online time was spent with them chatting about making thier maps more raankable and giving then advise on basic mapping] because teaching them even the very basics of picking rhythm is a very pain in the ass especially when they can't grasp the idea that fast.
Putting mentorship programs like these to promote more people engage in making content in this game is a good investment I think. Bringing new people in the scene is better to have a diverse experience of what to expect on the ranked section rather than the same ol' faces that pumps maps non-stop like clockwork and a few others that makes the community be triggered to the fullest.
It's a good step I think for this game; it's just the people make this fail..

I am starting to believe that all previous lords became tyrants because they didn't not consume 99% alcohol. Trashipitus might be amplifying the power hungry drive within the infected. I like off-topic, but the amount of threads in this sub-forum is so fucking bad it's no wonder why people want this place nuked. Threads were not this fucking horrible a few years ago, bring back actual posts that aren't shitpost, but atleast have the deserved spot in this forum. It's why the mods are probably neutrally confused. I say neutrally because they'll just lock threads that are absolute pieces of shit, and refrain from x to post anymore threads. They look at this one, and they see how many pages are in it, and they don't lock it immediately because it's a popular forum topic.
Abraker, as much as I find the whole "trashipitus" and "consume alcohol" is funny, it's not really helping any of the situations that off-topic is facing. I just don't think it's funny anymore as the trend of it is getting repetitive and old, why'd you think I stopped posting "I'm gay" or "die" in every post I made in 2017 or 2018? I'm almost positive everyone, including you, thought it was overboard. Yeah, I was younger, but now I'm reformed enough to actually have positive posts. I made large posts like the clock joke, and you hailed for that. I stopped doing that because it took way too much time, and the threads were, in a simplified way, getting shittier.
If this place were to continue being a cesspool corner, then I'm absolutely certain this sub-forum would die out in a few months. I liked off-topic a few years ago, posts were funny, slightly meaningful, actually cool people to talk to. Maybe that's just my point of view... maybe it's just how I see things... maybe it's just how bored I was during school or after graduation.

^ This lacks so much description yet we all kinda know what you mean. Yet again we do not at all in a specific context. I have no idea what threads you are referring to. We abstractly refer to "the good times" but we never actually show what we mean by that.
