i applied but was rejected and will be rejected for every thing i ever do in the rest of my time trying to be in this community.

no offense toward chromoxx but i hated his commentary during last LMS. he's a good streamer and i like his commentary on his stream, but in my opinion during the matches he streamed that tourney, he was considering people bad players and not taking into the logic that not everyone who plays taiko is the same type of player as him. an example was literally calling people idiots for not using HD on a tiebreaker when they were like rank #1000 and weren't good with mods. but he was also on his own for commentary so he'll probably do fine as .

can't say anything about the guy with no playcount because i didn't see his application and don't know anything about him, but best of luck.
Ehm, if Chromoxx was saying things like this, I have to say, I don't necessarily approve of his actions, however if he was saying it in a joking tone then that's fine. We are always quite "unprofessional" on LMS, so please don't expect the same level here. TWC has a much more professional atmosphere for it's commentating.

For example, I am friends with everyone who usually signs up for LMS, so whenever I commentate, I love to poke fun at them. You should really take note of this because I think Chromoxx was probably joking. He is normally quite good as a commentator, as someone who can fill air time with decent conversation. So yeah, LMS should not necessarily guide your feelings towards this tournament specifically. We are not d with their main staff.

And one more thing, if you or anyone was feeling like they had no honest chance at ing the commentary team for this tournament, in our next LMS tournament, you can feel free to drop by and commentate any match you would like.

Pretty much what Backfire said.... I do not calling anyone an idiot, nor rank #1000 players in tiebreakers either....
And even if i may have said something like that, it was definitely not meant seriously lol.... It was the LMS and I was simply commentating for fun.

Can't say how commentators are choosen beside checking applications, but we never had many commentators to begin with, who really know something and at the same time have interest into this at all. The commentators we have right now should be fine, with ztrot and deadbeat as leading commentators who Tasha and Chromoxx(as the Taiko experts) plus the addition of juan and Slainv who talk for the bright mass who don't know the game mode at all.

If you ask me, the commentator team should be fine. But beside that, we can't say for sure who applied as commentator. And considering the past, it wouldn't wonder me if no one applied beside the people we see in the list. lol

(If I'm not wrong, MMzz and myself will commentate the mappools anyway)
I totally agree with this. There is no need to worry about this, Slainv actually know the game mode quite well, and it's not the first time he will take care about a tournament-related thing.
<3 I am not that good of a player in osu! in general, however I organised IRL/offline tourbnaments as well as commented them.

I can understand why someone would be spooked but well, they'll just have to give it a listen ;)
I just came to check the Team's list and damn this Japan Monster team.
When will be the schedule released ?

You mean the Schedule for the events like the day of Top 16 or Top 8? They' should be listed on the Osu Wiki.

I'm talking about the hours of the Group Stage matches
I can't confirm when they'll start yet but They'll most likely be starting the group stages early morning. Eiither 6am or 8am in possibly.
Schedules for the group stage will be released this sunday.
I dunno why or what happened to a post about this but, the map pool is out in case anyone didn't see.

Here is the Map-Pack

:| I mean...they probably wouldn't exactly start the tournament then. But...usually every time Osulive starts streaming, it's either at Midnight or at 2 in the morning where I live. :c Shortly afterwards, they start the matches.

;) I didn't find out about the map pool for this year's group stage matches until I looked up the main Twitch Channel yesterday! Will definitely try all of these maps out once I get around to them! Thanks Backfire!

By the way, the statistics from our group are not correct, we lost only 4 games and won 7, whereas China won 8 and lost 4. doesn't matter anyway
I haven't played such an exciting match before the match against .
In fact I have given up when we were losing for 0-3...
I never thought about we could succeed finishing the reverse sweep.
I'm really glad that I practiced tiebreaker so many times.
God blessing and I am looking forward to the next game.

The teams really played well and all the matches were enjoyable (and I hope we commentators helped with that)

I am looking forward to commenting the other matches (and ultimately, see win!)

I am unreasonably taking bait on provocations. I shouldn't do that.
In Final mappools, sasakure maps (Utopia of Oz, and Garakura Doll Play) have serious wrong barlines. Is it possible to fix it before weekend?

Message the mappers and see if they can apply the timing fixes in time.
What a match ! Well played from both team Canada and Japan, looking forward to seeing the next matches ! Shoutout to the commentators too who are doing a great job hyping the finals !
Japan too strong. Please nerf. (GG Japan)
GG Korea. That's the closest twc match I've ever played
Sorry to all my teammates that I didn't play properly, but still it's a valuable experience to all of us :)
Congratulations to Canada or getting 3rd place and good luck to Taiwan against Japan next weekend. Can't wait for this
also double tiebreaker hype
I'd like to be the first to apologize to all the Canadian fans for my performance when it counted.

Taiwan you guys did great and deserved the win here. I have no regrets with how far we managed to get this year. Maybe next year the result will be different.

Well they could'nt have made it that far without thier team leader :)

Dont be too hard on yourself.
Just one last thing to post here. For anyone who may be interested in pre match statistics for our team on matches (what our best scores were before the match took place), we're releasing our charts we used for helping us decide what maps to pick.

Round of 16
Quarterfinals
Semifinals
Finals
Thanks again tasha ! :)
Well, I was about to share my tournament spying app, but I guess that would be a bad idea :D

Anyway, judging by this year's teams, next TWC will be interesting...
Was hoping to see or in top #3 too :(

Why is this so dead? Literally no hype for Grand Finals?

GO TW :^)

:) I can't wait for the Grand Finale of TWC2016 Tomorrow. Not sure if I'll be able to catch the games since it's going to start really early in the morning for me and I might miss out while I'm asleep but....I hope both teams give it everything they got! GL to Both Teams playing in the Final Battle tomorrow; and may the next Taiko World Cup bring us more excitement!

Congratulations to Japan team for winning and to Taiwan team for putting a good fight against them.
SOON. I mean in 2050
I'm actually surprised, that no one is even posting in here. It died so quickly. :(

And of course, thanks everyone for playing! I had lots of fun this year, even if it was hard as f.
Ono, great mappools, enjoyed every single map. Even if they are hard, I still find them challenging to play. There is no such thing as a bad map. Many people said these maps from mappools are weird, but I loved them. Challenge = fun. Thanks.

Commentators were great, teams were great, everything was awesome. Keep up doing the great job, guys!

Psst psst. We had 2 girls playing on our team :3
