i want to but lol
Yay more work for me.
10/10 chart
nice...
yay
This looks pretty sweet, having a group of BNs working together should be more productive than having everyone work independently - sharing ideas, promoting the most worthy maps and encouraging more people to mod... Sounds like a hit to me (:

Would be good to do something like this for CtB since we have so few active modders D:

Good luck with the group!
This will be good
Definitevely +1 on this.
I don't know what any of this means but yayyy!
When will this start?
Also, who are the participating BN?
ok

Does this include all mods, or only taiko mods?
Logic tells us that they should be taiko mods, but idk lol

Only Taiko.
@Baraatje: This will be announced soon.
@Cxu: Only Taiko mods. If other modes would be included, we couldn't generate mods for Taiko in a sufficient way. I guess you are worried about GDs? The guest differ should slowly learn to find mods by their own anyway.

Edit: lol, three people posted at the same time.

Sorry that I didn't explain it in a more detailed way in PM. You may coordinate with the guests and let them have a try when the TNA queue is formally open.

I hope it would be more clear to you now.
Nice ninja's
Looking forward to it
cool~~
hope not goned Modding Skill.. or just lazy brain. blah engliz.
love it .

What I have the bad modding skill
What if I need BNs to check a hybrid mapset of STD and Taiko, but I only mod STD (don't know how to mod Taiko)? Does this queue just not work for me then?

Your GDers need to fulfill the requirements and submit the map.
Ozzy, I love how you call them Nolan's GDers, while it's about you (and prophecy)
Well but it works like that. The mods required are taikos, no other modes. Either learn to mod taiko, or ask the GDers to mod to get their diffs modded.
Does it mean inactive modders will not get their map ranked unless they modded 3 times?
Topic Starter
Pretty much. Maybe in an apocalyptic future there will be rogue taiko BNs not in the TNA.
I think this system is really flawed because if you aren't on for some reason during that one specific time it opens on thursday you have to wait a whole nother week just to get your map checked. BNs should be allowed to look at maps not put through the queue, just maybe a limited amount.

Thursdays are the SCHEDULED openings.

It may open on some times beside that. Also, be sure to check it often because you don't know if a map is going to be rejected, in which case a slot is freed and it opens again.
You can't just go saying that this system is flawed for now. I mean it's still new and still trying to adapt on our environment.
And as Raiden said, i saw BNs posting on days beside Thursday so it's not a problem imo
I hope to the best for this new system though~

Speaking of this, maybe have the scheduled opening at Thursday 00:00 UTC, ending at Thursday 23:59 UTC, and then use a random number generator to determine which 4 maps to pick? Gives everyone a chance to post in every timezone that way.

That way it would be flawed as well because no one knows which maps are going to be rejected (unless you have a good amount of knowledge regarding Taiko mapping), and so people might as well spam F5 while they wait if the TNA has rejected any map.

I think it's fine the way it is right now...
I kinda think it's fine now
Perhaps do a different time every time you open?
First at 0:00 UTC, the next time on 6:00 UTC etc.
RNG would be painful, as all 4 maps might be bad, causing no good maps to be accepted (as Raiden said)
it's not like the 4 maps accepted now before closing couldn't be bad as well. They just happen to be the first 4 maps posted.
Topic Starter
That sounds interesting. Adding RNG to this system may be weird, but it's already RNG to try to figure out when we'll open up anyways huh. And yeah, the map quality won't matter considering that as long as they qualify for submission they would have been picked anyways. I don't know though.
What is RNG?
Random Number Generator
Everyone's biggest enemy in slightly/heavily luck-based games
Interesting... let's keep that in mind for now, okay? We would like to see how current system works. After that we could do such refinings. Does this sound good?
Oh dear

So far so good. I haven't seen any problem beside one thing that just happens to bug me a bit:

Obviously the red highlight. While it might be a valid reason to "organize the Nominators in a more structured way and ensure that we can fairly split the work among each other", it however cuts away any freedom the BNs have. I suggest revoking this rule completely as it denies the BNs the freedom they should have, while still taking this as an additional or complementary queue instead.
All BNs agreed with this condition several times. So only upon BNs direct request this rule can be removed. Not from outside.
There is nothing else I have to add here.
Maybe some were just hyped by the situation of the "new system" that was coming along and didn't think about the consequences. I'll leave it to you guys to discuss. Just wanted to share my thoughts on the rule mentioned above.
Meh
I also don't really like that
That the BN in this queue are not allowed to take requests anywhere else
This makes only 1-2 Taiko-specific BN allowed
This way, other BN need to take care of taiko maps
Good thing QAT bubble/qualify now, as that means 4 more bubblers :P

I said more or less the exact same thing and you said I wasn't right to say that the system was flawed in this way T.T
As far as I understood your main complaint was about them not opening other days than Thursdays, so I answered to that.
waiting for an invitation :^) jk, good luck, also when? i'm ready to spam my beatmaps.

I agree, as the participating BNs are only allowed to mod stuff from this queue, I am limited to request mods from the Taiko BNs that are not participants. I'm required to show 3 Taiko mods, but I am an STD modder trying to get a BN took look at the Taiko portion of a hybrid mapset. As answered earlier, I have to get the GDers to mod 3 maps.. something Id rather not make them do (also one GDer is a participant BN in this queue) sorry if this doesn't make sense, I'm bad at explaining and just wanted to add my opinion. :3

You are the owner of the set, you have power over GDers, if they won't look to get the map icon'd then slit their throats.
I lol'd
But true, that's probably the biggest complaint one can have against this

Okey I hope I won't have to do that to you

lol jk, okey I'll try to order the GDers but that's mean ;w;... Prophecy's been afk for a bit ~_~ bc school just started for some people :(

SPOILER
But dayum Ozzy you really have made a distinguished line from your personal and your professional osu! lifestyles ~_~
Prophecy only needs to do one mod anyway, he's got one 11 and 5 days ago. Alternatively there's also the Special List - he would only need to mod one of those maps too.
I would propose to reduce the number of required mods for hybrid sets, as they are not complete spreads of taiko diffs, usually only muzu and oni. A one mod could be more appropriate, maybe two.
Special list can be used for that. Only one mod.
That can be reasonable
You can only request a mod after you modded a "special" map, if your mapset is a hybrid mapset

Also, Ono, gratz on 6000th post!
Ooh, okay, thanks guys~ I'll be sure to try to to tell him that!

Baraatje123 wrote: 5b456m

geebus 6000 such a pretty number
Can we do something about time zones? Because I've noticed that no one from NA/SA can get in because it always opens at weird times. I've been trying since day one and I've never found it before it got closed :/

EDIT: I asked ono about it earlier and he said to try and get the asian mappers that have guest difficulties to put it in the queue, but that really isn't fair to them or a permanent solution
Maybe ask Ozzy to open the queue sometimes.
But i agree with Intelli.

We should have an alternative Way.
How about :
NA -> Ozzy
EU -> Gezo / Ono / Nwolf opens (rip NWolf iknow)
AS -> Nardo / Juddy.

This should be fair.

Great!, and Queu now closed? XD

Mfw when staying up until 5PM @Korea and queue opened 2hours lated.

dem sad ¦:^(

As the opening post stated, there is no time limit if you mod one of the maps in the special list. But keep in mind that we will constantly remove maps from the list when they have been modded two times or upon creator's request of removal.

And please keep the queue purely for requests. If you want to discuss or have something to ask, you may visit the announcement thread of TNA.
Thanks very much. Sorry about that x.x
TNA Open like, Ambush at warrr., suddenly attacked and closed like blink your eyes.

I just trying to posting with this word, " a " and Edit thats post when TNA Open. But Idk when Open. ah forgt this crab words, just idk with thiz mind.

TNA is still working on it, right? I hope so
i think TNA better put specific time to reorganize request (i.e every last week of the month) so people don't have to refresh queue page all days waiting for queue to be open at the time. just suggestion.
Well, we have times already, as in, who opens a round next. But we can't give the exact hour, as everyone of us has something to do which shifts the times. We have our first week were we are a kinda off, as one of the is off. Once we settled that I will post the days they open a round. Winter queue starts soon, too.

My apologize that it's atm a bit slow. Having a lot to do. But I guess it is still better that you guys know it now, instead of waiting for an answer by every single modder, as it was in the past the case.
Since TNA began, I think that is too hard to rank a map for people like me, because I work all day and I don't have time to wait for queue, I don't want to bother Raiden and tasuke all the time, furthermore you allways open the queue at midnight of my country lool rip sh1n1 u.u

-Sh1n1- wrote: 5a4118

I have a doubt, there will be slots for christmas round? Or it will be free?
Maybe, I guess Christmas song is High Priority then normal song. but in case, it depends on the quality of maps yuz.,

There are a lot of people who can't follow TNA, myself included, but the statistics have shown that this idea is not bad for the taiko community as a whole.
Just have patience, it's always worth it in the end. :p
Raiden ed us to lend us some help from time to time! But he is no restricted with the rules we have.
Ozzy will open the new round. And about tasuke we will see.
Hello~ ,sorry for suddenly :(
I have a new suggestion about TNA system :D

~Overview~
First, TNA have a problem that number of maps that accepts is too small :(
Therefore, we have missed the opportunity to see a lot of high quality map,,,

So, I think I would like to suggest.
1.Providing a new job title. The job title can be allowed to be submitted to the TNA :)
2.The job title can take the mapper that possession of kudos 100 or more :D

How was this proposal?
I'm glad if you use my plan !
Thank you! :)
That'd be extremely unfair to people that actually spend time modding and thus can do just a little amount of mods in a determined span of time (and thus reach 100 kd), so I personally disagree with that "job title".

However, in my opinion, it could be a good addition for high quality modders.
That's just MAT all over again in regards to recommending maps to BAT
EdamaMe411: You mean people who are experienced can put their maps into the TNA without waiting? Or do you mean having people normal s in the team as well who have 100 kudosu?

OnosakiHito wrote: y4t4u

Not that either. Only I just proposed that it is better to provide a new group that allows you to submit a map to the TNA.
Conditions for ission to the group that it is a modder that earns kudos 100 or more/modder that have a ranked map.But this conditionsis just an example. :o

Oh, previously I had something like that in mind. But with the current amount of BNs we can't do that. It would be an additional task for the BNs - checking everytime maps which are suggested. Beside that, I think it would rather interrupt the TNA process. Most people believe their maps are flawless, but then, in most cases, it happens that they are not. It would be less different to what we do now. But be sure that I won't abandon the idea entirely.
Does this queue allow for maps to become qualified if they are deemed quality enough, even if they don't have enough mods/under 12 SP?
If the map doesn't have 12 SP it cannot even be bubbled.
The line with the commands (which everyone can see/use in the skinning forum) gets blocked by this

Tatsumaki wrote: 1v5la

well if it is deemed as high quality, the mapper will probably be told to gather enough SP before getting TNA mods

I forgot that you can remove your post...
Thank you! (Its sorry for you I got a deeeep sleep from 4 hours ago)
omg
Yo note that i don't have any problem with any of the BNs, just gonna write facts.

Sooo the queue is getting used to open only once per two weeks, offering 2 or 3 slots each time, which basically means a max of 6 slots per month. Pretty much all BNs are part of it, which means you can't rank a taiko map without using this queue (don't tell me BNs from other game modes can also rank taiko maps, they can but they have no experience in taiko so this is rather dangerous or pointless).
If you keep this up we can expect 6 ranked taiko maps per month, not even counting rejected maps (you used to randomly post after rejecting a map so we could post new maps, but this rarely happen now it seems).

Maybe everyone in the queue is busy af atm ? You can't waste 8 peoples for such result, so i would like to see some explanations about why this is happening and when can we expect changes/improvement. Also i hope so you are not counting on new BNs to save this.

If i did not care about ranking maps or if i was never missing the queue i would probably not write this buuuut... missed the queue for the 4th time in a row now and i will probably keep missing it for some reasons, so should peoples like me just stop trying to have their maps ranked because of this queue ?_? You added an unfairly factor in the ranking system here, for that only reason this queue should've never existed anyways lol.

(o shit 666th post)
BNs still do stuff outside of the queue, ranking maps that are in a good enough state to be ranked without any more big BN mods
That was one of my "complaints" with this, there should be an equal number of BNs outside and inside TNA, to make things more fair.

Hopefully that's getting fixed on the new wave (which you told us not to talk about ;w;)

Nwolf wrote: 2x5s6v

BNs still do stuff outside of the queue, ranking maps that are in a good enough state to be ranked without any more big BN mods
But if TNA was working well it should not happen since, as stated by the rules :
"participating BNs are not allowed to take requests outside of this shared queue"

@Raiden by writing "i hope so you are not counting on new BNs to save this" i meant even if they stay outside of it, TNA is still slowing the system down. As you said it will be "more fair", but we still have 8 peoples stuck in a system where they are not supposed to check maps as they want to. What if i want a check from a specific BN who is in the queue ?
The thing is, they agreed to accept that rule, and they are free to leave whenever they want. It's rather the specific BN's problem whether they want to mod (be it in or outside TNA) or just leave TNA, they can do that at any given moment.

As for me, I'll be back in a week, hang on...

(I know no one asked me ;w;)
Glad you are asking and pointing this out. I have no problem to explain current situation. Though, you might be a little tired because I will probably repeat myself when talking about the past.

Currently we are having 6 Taiko BNs in our community which two of them are absent for a longer time until they finished their exam / semester. So in total we are left with 4 in the whole community. Additional to this, the TNA only contains 3 of these BNs, while one of them is just helping a bit out(tasuke). Having in mind that the queue regulates the number of accepted maps and new rounds by its number of active , it should be obvious that we can't compensate a high amount of requests as we used to in previous months.

It's rather remarkable that the were able to last until the last month without new BN additions. Normaly we expected it to happen sooner, so we have a balanced ration between BNs who work together and those who work by their own. In this way we can also exchange the BNs if they want, so they can switch from working alone to a group from time to time. That moment will be hopefully reached with the new BN addition. Currently with only 3(4) BNs left, it should be obvious that it is impossible to keep it up with or without a team like the TNA.

And now here comes the part you might be tired of: As I said a few times already, this regulation is still better compared to the old way we went - getting requests by mapper and never reply again + BNs being more than stressed.

Edit: Oh, now I see where you got the number of 8 . But 3 of them are not BNs at all. And maybe we should announce when certain BNs are absent. So everyone is updated at least.
