The checkthroughs of all rosters will be done tomorrow. Please finalize your rosters until tomorrow, since all changes will be forfeited later. Actually I'm pretty sure we do have 32 countries with at least 3 regular players. I've seen some players not participating because : "We don't have enough players in my country" even though I could find at least 2 others players who plays every days and has more than 10k PC. But some people just tend to think that if you can't FC every ranked map then you're not capable of playing in the TWC. I calculated how much countries we could gather just with players I already know, and I could gather more than 20 countries, and I wasn't that far from 32. Yes the issue is players not wanting to and some not even being asked because they are not known in the taiko community (ie. people think they don't exist).

But this is just an assumption, we should wait for the official answer

If we could gather more than 20 countries and having to reject some, maybe we can try to gather 24 teams, make 6 groups of 4 teams, make #1-#2 ascend + the 4 best #3. As we have to play the group stage in one single week-end, it will be easier for both part to make groups of 4 teams ?

Nuclear Fusion is INCREDIBLY EASY except for one 1/6 part. Parts like it, are not hard, but just make it inconsistent. Things like bbn are actually hard and kind of inconsistently mapped, possibly because it's not very good, but that's just my opinion. A lot of times, I struggle with hard patterns on slower maps. It's just the nature of the kddk playstyle. ddkk or kkdd don't find it hard, since they don't have to swap hands and play it backwards. I guess I am seriously just stupid though, thanks for teliing me.

Like, go look at least years team and this years teams. Maybe like 12 hardcore, could have won it all teams last year, compared to the maybe 6-7 this year. It is mostly the fault of not letting us have A and B teams or mixed country teams. We lost out on so many quality players.
I was even telling Ono it might be better if he made the maps easier this year. Howeverrrrrrrr another reason he has done this is perhaps because of the format, which is the format of getting rid of a team each week and having us all play over the weekend against everyone in each pool.
It makes sense but it also doesn't. I think this was handled fairly-well, considering.
I personally think you are all underestimating what people can do, even if we don't know them enough. I also think there are more new players that we think, but as they don't show up in forums nor in chat, people just assume they just don't exist. We'll see how it turns out this week-end, but I think it's a good thing to spice up the difficulty each year.
