I was going to finish this off completely before releasing it to the public, but as I don't see this happening in the near future I'm just going to go ahead and release it now.

osu! default skin template

of use:
LICENCE
All osu! graphic and other game assets are copyright ppy Pty Ltd.

You are granted permission to use the elements contained within this archive as a template for creating your own skins. You can modify these in any way you see fit. Please do not include the resources if you haven't modified them; the defaults will automatically be used in this case.

You are NOT permitted to use these graphics outside of skins and/or beatmaps. This includes using them on other websites, games, products etc.

If you would like to use the resources outside of the scope provided above, please me at [email protected]

I believe these are pretty much the additional elements that were not added to the already ed template, some of them at least. Just extract this to the previous one.

The only things in this template that were not in the un-official one are the mania elements and the taiko elements it looks like. (it's also missing quite a few things like ranking letters and mod icons)

Protip: get ready to make the spinner-bottom entirely transparent, because both spin differently and it's crazy to skin. :o

Hence "pretty much". The other one is mostly old elements, and as such this one replaces some of those.

Thanks for the default skin template peppy.
I'll be using these as a guide to make a new custom skin for myself. >.<

Regarding skin.ini,
I also think that its only an additional element and not really included from the default.

eehhh..... where exactly can I see my circularmetre.png...?? if it's supposed to be the pie progress bar during gameplay, it's not working :<<

same with the scorebar. it's still misaligned and scorebar-marker still isn't being used.

also star3. I can't find it anywhere.

not sure about scorebar but i don't think star3 can editable. >_>

not sure about scorebar but i don't think star3 can editable. >_>

Hope they'll be the Mod Selection icons soon! D: Seems to be already updated in the new version of osu, but I don't know where the NEW skin default files are to even check... so, hope this is updated soon again! :D

@Sephibro make sure Prefer New Default is checked, the new spinner should work.

Curious. My countdown doesn't "work" anymore, it puts 1 mid-bottom and 3/2 in the top corners. Does the .ini file have a countdown option now in order to have them appear in the middle or properly lined up like it used to.

Since the template here is still not complete I've decided to pack up all the missing files. Hopefully peppy doesn't get mad at me, since you can't actually PM him to ask if I can post this. :?

I think "overlay-draw-slider@2x" is wrong file name.
Maybe "[email protected]" is right.

If you're talking about the small image for the gametype, the name is mode-osu-small.png, mode-fruits-small.png, etc. with a 86x111 dimension
You can also change the larger one in the background with mode-osu.png, etc. at a 500x500 dimension
