Hey, my goal of upgrading to AKG Q701 has been postponed until next year.
Instead, I'm looking for good semifull-open headphones for around $160.
Few things to keep in mind:
- I don't want Audio Technica AD700
- I prefer AKG.

Right now I'm using this:

Dunno bout semi-open, but Audio-Technica's ath-m50 are really good and cheap for their quality. i recommend them.

Those are decent indeed. But in "Polish-economy" , that's a whole lot more expensive than my budget.
600 PLN vs 1399 PLN. A lot difference.

I found out that K272 HD outputs pretty decent sound too, so I purchased those and am waiting for them to arrive.

man I use 40 dollar sony headphones that I got on sale for 20 dollars and they work very well. How does the bang-per-buck scaling on headphones work, anyway? I've always wondered that, because stores will have $400 headphones that don't sound that much better

I know they're semi-open, and not full-open, but they perfectly fit your budget and your AKG preference.
