About first picture, checked artist's pixiv and that picture is original. :<
I tried to create pattern of staples as background (similar to anime opening) but... meh, I don't know myself.

Both are great actually! I can see where you were going with the 'stapled' background in the first pic, so I think I'll use that for now.

Hmmm, on second thought if there's some contrast between the top/bottom s with the pic bg (i.e. maybe the same bg with a lighter shade of purple?), it might look better - what do you think? Idk.

I don't really need a note from a wannabe otaku priest by marrying real person to 2d,and don't want to. But anyways, if you are blind enoff with your 2d characters to not understand what I said, I will explain it softly. basically, most of the images suck. I will not say all, but some seriously suck, as a designer, I was offended by a tottaly sucky image with your favourite character. read it again and you will understand.
