So I'm changing this thread as of late, because even though this unrank happened DAYS ago I'm still to this day getting 9-10 pms a day about it.

I'm not reranking this map. If I do rerank it, it will be a very, very long time from now. I'm extremely upset and disappointed in the way that all of this was handled and as much as I know MOST of you are upset with how this got unranked, unfortunately its not enough for me to give in and feel like I deserve this as a mapper, or as any of the other GDers do either.

This was an attempt to spark creativity in the mapping community and unfortunately it didn't really go as planned. There was a large amount of people that really did enjoy the difference and thought that doing something like this was something that was 1) needed in the current state of mapping and 2) invigorating and different than what people were doing at the time, but the people who disliked it unfortunately had louder voices than the ones who did like it.

This will stay here as a reminder of what once was. To everybody on the set - good job on getting this qualified the first time around. We fought long and hard and we did what we could, but unfortunately I don't think I can take this any further.

Apparently somebody else is mapping this song now, so anybody who's looking for a ranked version, I'm sure that will be ranked much faster than this ever will be.

  3. 00:22:481 (1) - I don't know how to fix this polarity switch, it sounds really awkward when playing since the yakety sax comes in on the red tick. Whatever, it should be fine.
  4. 00:24:096 (3) - Move to x:248 y:172 to fix blanket with (1) as well as to maintain the 1.00x distance snap.
  5. 00:25:943 (2) - Move to x:333 y:352 to ^
  6. 00:34:250 (1,2) - Move (2) to x:262 to fix the third ugliest blanket I've ever seen.

  3. 00:09:558 (4,5) - Not sure if this is too fast for a normal, but I think it's fine. c:
  4. 00:20:866 (5,6) - Move (5) to x:441 y:318 and (6) to x:387 y:232 to fix the blanket between (4) and (6) while maintaining 1.20x distance snap.

  4. 00:14:866 (5,6,7) - Move (6) to x:360 y:192 and move (7) to x:295 y:37 to fix this blanket. Move 00:15:558 (8) - to stack on (6).
  5. 00:18:558 (5,6,7) - I suggest you move (7) out from under (5) because both the slider and tail overlap, even if it does create a blanket. There are lots of places you can put it rather than hide half of the slider under another.

  4. 00:14:866 (1) - Move to x:203 to center the slider across x:256 (but isn't quite symmetrical, if you ctrl G it you'll find that the end point has y:309 while the start has y:308. Negligible, but now you know.)
  5. 00:15:212 (1) - Move to x:166 to ^, same thing with the ctrl G test.
  6. 00:15:558 (1) - Going to have to fix this blanket if you do ^ because the difference between the y-values on the two ends is 2.

  2. There is a HUGE gap between Easy, which is a pretty much Beginner diff with barely any 1/2s on it to Normal which already has 1/4s injected.

  1. The 2/1 beats in the barney part should have hitsounds like the other diffs, sounds much less empty
  2. 00:02:866 (1) - blanket really could be improved here, just use (2)'s approach circle to help you
  3. 00:34:250 (1) - maybe stack this with 00:32:404 (1) - ? doesnt seem that bad of a jump

  • I feel like AR should be higher here. The very high note density with 1/2s and 1/4s everywhere call for AR5 or more.

  2. 00:15:212 (6) - this clap sounds really really weird, using a clap to follow lower pitched noises in the song sounds pretty bad
  3. 00:16:712 (4,5,6,7) - there are no 1/4s in the song here
  4. 00:32:866 (3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12) - Aren't you overdoing it? I know this is a trollish map, but at least make the difficulty consistent between the diff. This is a huge difficulty peak here
  5. 00:34:712 (3) - Shouldn't this be 1/4 shorter?

  1. 00:10:250 (1,2,3) - would be cool if you made a progressive SV speedup between these sliders
  2. 00:12:789 (4) - I know what you wanted to do here, but honestly, with the song intensity, placing this note at x304 y216 works much better
  3. 00:25:481 (3) - New combo for consistency?
  4. 00:29:058 (2) - Flows better if placed at x64 y312
  5. 00:34:366 (1) - All the other diffs start the spinner where you finished this one and end the map in the "gay" sound. Shouldn't it work better if you make it consistent with the other diffs?

This is for Easy as I'm not really confident in modding anything above normal or maybe easy-ish hards.

and adjust the end pattern a bit to suit them. There's nothing I could really suggest since I'm still new to mapping. >< Hoped this helped though!

While we're on the updating spree, I nerfed my diff by 0.09 l0l (removed 1/4s aside from two extended sliders and combined several subsequent circles into sliders basically).

  1. Disable Widescreen and Letterboxes in all diffs. They aren't necessary at all as you don't have a storyboard.
  2. Probably there should be a light Insane or something. I feel like a gap between Priti's Hard and Insane is too big.
[Easy]
Feels more like a Normal for me because of the high SV and some patterns which aren't really beghinner-friendly.
  1. Let's try AR4, it helps to avoid some overlaps and make things a little more readable.
  2. 00:15:789 (1) - the way how (1) appears before (3) is pressed may be kind of misleading for beginners.
    Note: same happens here.

    Nothing really wrong here, I just feel uncomfortable with the diffname. :c

As there are some 3/4 and 1/4 stuff used, I would rather call it Advanced. In my opinion, this is somewhat like a Normal+
  1. 00:13:943 (5) - mind adding a new combo here? This will match with your comboing and music nicely.
  2. 00:22:481 (1) - minor - move it around a little to make it look more smooth? example

    A decent Normal+, nothing else to say about it.
[Priti's Hard]
  1. 00:10:020 (7,8) - try to place a little jump between (7) and (8) to stress the way music gets louder.

  1. 00:06:327 (8,9) - might be just me, but for some reason I have a feeling that a slider instead of these two circles would work better.
  2. 00:19:020 (7,1,2) - the spacing change feels quite sudden here. Mind changing DS from x0,73 to x1.0 or something like that? It should make the pattern flow better.

As there are some 3/4 and 1/4 stuff used, I would rather call it Advanced. In my opinion, this is somewhat like a Normal+ - sure thing
  1. 00:13:943 (5) - mind adding a new combo here? This will match with your comboing and music nicely. - yeah, not sure why had I missed it earlier, thanks
  2. 00:22:481 (1) - minor - move it around a little to make it look more smooth? example - rotated by 7 degrees and moved up a little

    A decent Normal+, nothing else to say about it.

Feels more like a Normal for me because of the high SV and some patterns which aren't really beghinner-friendly. sure, it's a normal
  1. Let's try AR4, it helps to avoid some overlaps and make things a little more readable.
  2. 00:15:789 (1) - the way how (1) appears before (3) is pressed may be kind of misleading for beginners. not really a whole lot I can do here because of the ar honestly :P it's still a slider, and since this is a normal now, screw it, it'll be fine I hope
    Note: same happens here.

    Nothing really wrong here, I just feel uncomfortable with the diffname. :c
[Extra]
  1. 00:15:212 (6) - 00:18:904 (4) - the way how beats pop right in the middle of those slider bugs me a little. Maybe we can at least curve the sliders, so, the beat won't be completely ignored? Example yea, I feel you. put the anchors in
It's just the diffnames and gap, nothing else to complain about.
