Most of the average joe players stop playing shortly after because they either get bored or can't seem to do better. Not to mention, I have yet to find any beatmaps that include a CtB diff and are ranked. If someone could link me to one, it would be very appreciated. Most osu! difficulties translate to CtB very well (as opposed to Taiko, which is based off of hitsounds), and since there really aren't any guidelines for mapping/modding CtB difficulties, they are currently disallowed. However, these CtB-specific ranking charts will feature osu! difficulties that play well in CtB.

Lyra

31 posts

ed January 2010

Lyra

2011-09-04T17:51:31+00:00

Derekku wrote:
Actually, the CtB community is quite large.
I never really noticed that considering how many I know that don't play it. Either way, in regards to that bit of information. I honestly had no idea that CtB diff's were unrankable. And while it is understandable that most standard difficulties transfer into CtB well. It is very well possible that there could be a map that is indeed so insane, it would be a challenge for even CtB pro's to beat, but is still very well possible enough to be ranked. It's crazy for me to say such a thing. And even though there were no standards set for CtB specific difficulties, it's very well possible to indicate whether or not the song is mapped well or not, and to determine whether or not it is rankable. Either way, I don't entirely understand why. Maybe I don't know everything, so, I don't know if there are any other reasons why they are unrankable. That aside, I'd still like to help. :3

Mismagius

Beatmap Nominator

m176i
